Does nickle plated casing do anything for reliability?
Keeps it from tarnishing and probably aids in extraction since the cases have slightly higher lubricity.

Supposedly. I'm sure it does on an extremely small margin.
Great thread op.

what this dude said. if you're going out in the middle of no where for a period of time or just regularly out in the elements, use nickle plated ammo.

>lubricity
For a couple seconds I thought you made that word up.

Basically this. Corrosion resistance plus higher lubricity. It might be meme levels, but who knows. The nickel plating can flake off when you resize it so I try to avoid it except for small exceptions.

I use them for BP loads. After a while the cylinder gets pretty crudded up and the nickel plated cartridges seem to eject easier.

Another reason why they works so well for BP loads.

Wait, he didn't? And here i was about to make fun of him.
>>34870325
No. Nickel*(ftfy) plating does nothing but cost more.
Shinier therefore it goes faster

Allegedly is better for extraction but the only gun I've tried it in never had problems extracting brass either.
Looks neato with copper bullets, like you're about to go merk werewolves or something.

izat dem black talonz cop killaz?
>>34870325
Has higher lubricity than brass and less likely to tarnish.
Kinda like a cerakote finish on a gun. Question's if the improvement is really appreciable for your average user.

>werewolves
>>34872804
Tell me it does nothing after you shoot a revolver with heavy loads and try to extract it.
