Just experience with them in training environments.

Unlike a lot of other European armies I've worked with who just kind of go through the motions, the Ukrainians actually bring a lot of experience and interesting perspective on thing. They are way behind in a lot of areas (especially on the logistics side where I work), but they actually want to learn. They're also, as far as I've experienced, decently motivated and aren't falling apart like memes say. But that could just be the guys we've worked with.

Give them about a decade or two and some EU TLC and they'll be like the Poles for NATO. You could probably cut that down if they ended the fighting, but Russia won't let that happen.
