I dunno, CMMG might have a factory short barrel upper but they, Spike's, Taccom and lots of other companies sure make an abundance of .22 AR products that can be racemixed together to make a FA rated gun. A bolt with a buffer would be highly beneficial.

Literally just build one. It's easier than anything else, there's no gas block, no drilling, no torque, no gas tube, no front sight, no alignment. Nothing to crush, break tweak or mess up.

You plop a barrel in, crank the barrel nut on gutundtite and slip on a handguard.

It's the easiest AR build you could conceive of.

Why do you guys do this?
I feel like the 18 oz Sandman S at 6.8" is going to be long and unwieldy on the pinned and welded 14".

Omega is lighter and the same length but I really want a Sandman.

K will be louder, but quiet enough to avoid having to double up ear pro, and quiet enough to reduce muzzle report for people around me.

The only stocks I know of which don't wiggle:
Locked Magpul CTR
Magpul UBR
Magpul M93
EVERY other stock wiggles somewhat. Yes the Bravo wiggles but it's one of the least wiggly traditional receiver extension stocks I've tried. I have wiggletism too and I put a strip of electrical tape under it. This made the stock not wiggle but now it's much more difficult to adjust. In comparison my SOPMOD needed three strips of tape under it, so it's 1/3 as wiggly as a SOPMOD. If you REALLY don't want wiggle, you're going to have to get a fixed stock or one of the proprietary extension Magpul stocks.
