My recommendation is get the mk23, then get a usp9 tactical. The apc9 is built with very tight tolerance, and the dual buffer system is a joy.

I'm not familiar with what those guns sell for and I can't remember if HK's warranty transfers to the next owner. Many guns retain their value just fine if they are kept as safe queens. I move scopes around all the time. When I put them back on the original gun, the zero has not changed. There's a whole industry of quick detach mounts that boast this fact as a primary selling point, and those are QD mounts. Big chunky solid unimounts return to zero even better.
