I have a couple sets us U.S. BDU's and an aspenflage poncho...but I want something semi-practical that I can get some actual use out of.
I've been eyeing some British DPM...I'm leaning toward the summer/desert pattern because I like the look better, but the jungle pattern might be more effective as actual camouflage. I'll robably get something simple like a field shirt- but the DPM hooded smock looks tacticool, but I'm not sure if I'd ever wear it in public.
Then kommandostore has so SADF gear in Dirt color that seems to have provenance if not practicality...
Help me pick my first piece for innawoods/attarange use.

Flecktarn.
>cheap
>pattern functions innawoods
>an upper and jeans works well
>foreign, so you don't get assraped by misguided stolen valor fags
>comfy as fuck cotton/polyester blend
>reasonable pocket distribution, doesn't look like you are carrying the world on your chest
>well built
>did I say cheap, I did? well my backspace key sticks, so this is staying here
I don't fucking know. Buy what you like.Fleck is what I like. But I have seen civilian made cloths in DPM pattern, so it is certainly acceptable.

I thought about Flecktarn, but it does kind of stand out, and some here seem to think it's the official uniform of the school shooters squad...
Or maybe add a Bundeswehr PT shirt with a crest on it...
>>34865059
>Flecktarn is for le school shooters xD
No. Stop that. Whoever says that is either a newfag or retarded, or maybe both. Flecktarn is *the* camo of /k/, and anyone who says otherwise it's a nigger.
>>34865111
Trips of truth.
Non-civie made OD green stuff and trench coats are for shooters.
>alternatively go out loud and get an alpenflage upper
>>34864737
What are you using it for and what area are you gonna use it in?
>>34865111
I'm pretty sure that rhodesian camo is *the* camo of kay.
>>34864737
I'ma throw my vote for flecktarn too. Really any proper camo is something you're gonna have to decide if you can pull off in public if that's where you intend to wear it. US woodland/DPM/Fleck all rank the same
I'd advise hitting up Varusteleka, even if you don't buy from them (you should) it'll give you ideas, there's lots of good OD or subdued milsurp that's less conspicuous
If the public doesn't matter, let your imagination run wild and buy anything you like, it's fun. Start cheap and work your way up

>What are you using it for and what area are you gonna use it in
Range, woods...outdoorsy stuff in Central South Texas.
Not sure how pricey the legit Rhodie camo is, so that's why I thought about starting out with the Dirt colored stuff from the Kommando store.
Unless you know a good source for the legit stuff...

From what I know, to get actual rhodie gear you would have to order from africa and pay a ton, but in a recent video by Brent0331he had a guy from a canadian company making faithful reproductions. I cant attest to that but the website is Fireforceventures. also the video

Brit MTP
British MTP is a greener version of multicam
>inb4 multicam doesnt work
I'm in Northern MN with green as fuck woods where the best option is mossy oak and realtree and it works great
If I buy one of the SADF from the kom store- could I find some insignia to sew onto it without looking like a complete poser?
Goldstein camo. The only answer.

Make it the
"hey rabbi, whatcha doing???
or
"Who could be behind this post?" pattern and I'll take one of each.

Norwegian M75 is my personal kink, but I'm not much of a camo bro.
>>34866827
I think Ima grab one of the south africa defense force shirts from kom store and a desert tan dpm from ebay unless anyone has any other suggestions...
>>34866976
Owning it is even better.

You're in the same environment as Brett0331 I suppose? If so, Flecktarn is shit there. Flecktarn works great in dark woodlands, but not so well in a bright green environment. I recommend either CROPAT, SURPAT, Scandinavian camos, Dutch DPM, or other various Russian camos. If you want a Flecktarn derivative, jitsai is a great Japanese camo based off of Flecktarn. I still love my Norwegian and Swedish stuff, though.

Release your inner wehraboo with a camo that will blow flecktarn out of the water in it's "designated" working areas in the US.
Great for lush midwestern areas.

I'm digging the insurgent/peasant look to the smock...but I can't find it on Ebay.
>>34869544
>The insurgent/peasant look to the smock
Hahahaha, thanks for the laugh anon.
That's a German M42 smock reproduction. Try Hessen Antique.

Most school shooters wear polo shirts and khakis or bluejeans, Columbine was really the only notable one where they had some military gear.
>>34871427
OP here.
Wasn't even thinking about it... but I bought an old surplus OD trench coat today...
(but I value education and higher learning)

Well, Central South Texas... I've been in the whereabouts. Out on the flat grassy areas where's it's green as fuck, practically any dark green variation will do including Olive Drab, DPM, British dark green, splintertarn, whatever. The towns are flat and dry though and the lawns are a miserable brown and yellow since watering got restricted - in the less affluent areas anyway. You have yet to specify if you are planning to use your kit in suburban or rural areas. Just remember that wherever you plan to use it, it is more important to avoid attention from the people seeing you than to avoid being seen. Wehrmacht camo WILL be noticed, no matter how efficient it is while you are standing still.

A belted tunic with that big X style lace up is medieval old school for sure.
