I know nothing about Mosin Nagants. If possible I would want a Finnish M39 (I hear those are good) but it's not a true Russian peasant boomstick.
What's the absolute most I should pay for a laminate one? Should I get a laminate or hold out for an authentic one, because I'm assuming the Soviets didn't laminate it themselves.
Post laminate stock Mosins.
PS: what does /k/ think about this South African "Vektor" pistol also being offered?
Finnish ones are a meme, it's literally the same gun with a pistol grip stock. Don't spend the extra money.
The pistols are extremely hard to come by but of little value. Vecktor company is and was not on par with most of gun manufacturers of their time - poor quality materials, and poor tooling - however the external design is unique and the concept of function is correct but good luck trying to find parts, spare magazines etc

The Fins, like the do most rifles of the era, took the Mosin and made it actually, you know, good. Often a new barrel, new sights, etc
