I'm surprised no specific loads for .40 or .45 have been mentioned yet. My brother in law works for the Texas Game Wardens which issues .40's naturally, and Speer redesigned their Gold Dot .40 bullet years ago at their request. They liked the change so much afterward that they made the new bullet design standard. All they did was subtract 1 petal from the bullet, but still, cool stuff
