pic related, cold weather one i already have.
does anyone know where i can buy a durable field jacket for warmer weather that has a hood?i can't find one anywhere.
there was some surplus site that someone linked to and i actually found a pretty good one there but i don't remember the site name.
This may not be what you're looking for, anon, but kommandostore .com has many lightweight hooded field parkas

do snaps get loose/worn out?
>>34856892
I have the not-fleece-lined, not-hooded version of that one. A hoodie and a couple shirts is usually plenty for Montana winters. Just layer up.

southern wisconsin is usually low enough to count on one hand, often going below zero. i layer even with this coat.

i thought montana was in the middle lol your winters are colder than ours.

Eddie Bauer Atlas Jacket in green
Best jacket I own.
>>34857162
Not in my experience, but a snap is rather easily fixable. They have struck me in the past for seeming mighty durable and well constructed, especially for the price.

so are eddie bower jackets actually functional? i saw some that looked nice but since it's a fashion brand i decided against it.

I wouldn't consider it a fashion brand at all. Their mountain/hiking/work clothing is solid.
Pretty much all I wear innawoods is Eddie Bauer and Mountain Hardware. EB has 40% off sales often.
Their return policy is insane too. Bring anything back at any time, even after years of use, and they will give you back cash w receipt or store credit w/out. Obviously don't be a prick and abuse it but it's nice to know they back their product wholeheartedly.
>duluth jacket
was it worth the $$$$$?

it's 90 bucks rn instead of 150 on the website

Austrian surplus M65 jackets are cheap and super comfy. Look on ebay or sportsman's guide.
>>34857312
i don't remember the price desu but i think it was $100. it's got gussets, it's their durable firehose canvas (that isn't super stiff like most canvas clothes),
it's warm, it's got elbow pads, pretty good i'd say.
>>34857388
oh $100 aint bad I thought their shit was much higher
>>34857312
they don't sell it anymore so GL finding one. i also have one of their thumbhole hoodies that got discontinued, it's the only hoodie i wear now.
>>34857406
well also they're almost exclusively online, they only have like 5 stores and i'm pretty sure they're all in wisconsin.
>>34856892
wondering if i shouldn't get this https://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/german-police-surplus-mens-gore-tex-waterproof-parka-with-liner-used?a=1024646

Nice autism jacket.
Check out polycotton windproof smocks. They're excellent as a tough outlayer, but they're unlined so not very warm. Great for warmer weather or for layering in winter. Fire resistant because not synth, keeps the wind out, hard wearing, easy to repair, water resistant or easy to make them so etc.
Downside is they look so military that you'd look like a faggot wearing them on the street, great for /out/ shit though.
>>34857660
It's a normal jacket you fucking giblet head.
>>34857693
get it in black or grey w/o velcro, problem solved.
