>>

That's because there's nothing you can change to improve upon these glocks beyond aesthetic and ergonomic considerations, which are already subjective. This is why other companies like walther, hk, s&w, sig, cz, etc. are moving away from their legacy designs and trying to make minor variations on the glock formula. Until and unless ammunition improves significantly, there won't be any more efficiency gained by moving away from the glock paradigm.

Plastic frame fags just want a reason to justify their use of 9mm. Not that 9mm is bad but 9mm in a full size steel frame pistol is better shooting and a much more sound option in the long run.

A double stack, single action only glock with a frame mounted safety directly under your dominant hand that clicks down flush into a groove to gurantee it won't get bumped on by accident. Compatible with standard glock mags in the same caliber. Match style adjustable sights from the factory. Above average trigger pull on par with 800-900 dollar 1911's all at a price point of 650 dollars.

It's the Gen 5, probably a G17, G19 or both. There's a guy on Glocktalk who preordered a G17 Gen 5 through a Blue Label dealer.

https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/gen-5-on-pre-order.1671974/

According to some random dude in that thread, the changes are:

>A new tougher finish
>Changes in the rifling
>Longer recoil spring assembly
>Reinforced forward notch for the recoil spring assembly
>A smoother trigger similar to the G42/43
>Flared magwell
>No finger grooved
>Changes in the safety plunger
>Ambidextrous slide release
>Magazines have an extended front lip
>Magazine well cutout

Finger grooves only ever tend to fit about 70% of people well. I don't mind the finger grooves on Glocks, but HK P30 and VP finger grooves are pushing it for me, and Smith and Wesson revolver finger grooves aren't grippable to me at all without putting a finger on one of the ridges. I also immediately remove the A2 pistol grip from a new AR-15 because it puts my ring finger right on the ridge.

Then again, I have pretty thin fingers. I imagine that anybody with thicker (more normally sized) fingers would find the Glock finger grooves too small to grip comfortably.
>>
>>34856809
I would actually be interested in one of these, especially if they were able to fit 6 rounds in the magazine, and especially if they increased the grip length and/or circumference compared to the diminutive grip of the G43.
>>
>>34856811
I have normal size fingers but large hands. Smith and Wesson finger grooves and Glock finger grooves fit me like they were custom made.

However like you A2 pistol grips really cramp my middle finger.

If those are the changes, I have no interest. My fingers fit the finger grooves just fine and I've already cleaned up the trigger with the usual Ghost 3.5lb connector. Sounds like it'll be great for those getting a new Glock, but I see no reason to upgrade from a Gen 3 or 4 unless you hate the finger grooves (and if you do, why the fuck do you have a Glock and not another polymer wonder 9?).

Ambi slide release is pretty cool, though. Glocks really need one.

Then u won't like whatever glock shits out, I shot home boys shield in .40 and was much Better then shorting a glock 23. Reason why shield .40 is soft recoil because heavy slide and heavy recoil spring.

Whatever glock comes out with in a single stack .40 will be worser then a g27

Glocks do literally nothing to dampen recoil...
>>
>>34868336
Except they aren't chambered in anything bigger than 10mm and the 10mm guns have pretty heavy slides. Glocks also have nicely curved and rounded back straps in addition to be semi-auto pistols. There is absolutely nothing harsh about any Glock recoil with the possible exception of the 43 just because the grip is so small that it's hard to hold onto.
>>
>>34854373
Glocks I would buy in a heartbeat:

1. Slim single stack .44mag
2. A bullpup Glock mag taking carbine in 10mm or 9mm.

I don't see anything else missing from their catalog. The Glock 19 is small enough that there's no reason for a single stack magazine.
>>
>>34856779

Because it looks niggery.

Found the noguns. Where talking about recoil from a .40 cal not 9mm genius

Shoot a glock 43 n shield 9mm side by side n you'll see shield has least recoil.

I know this personally because my dads shield 9mm has less recoil den my glock 19 is it a problem no just something to take notice.

>>

I think they could make some pretty nice target shooting pistol caliber carbines if they tried.
>>
Considering they're easy to find for $400 new, and that they actually work and hold up quite well, they're hardly comparable to Apple products.

Kimber would be closer, all a bunch of flashy and expensive 1911s, that feature a nice trigger but often a shoddy everything else due to non-existent QC.
Also they used to be good once, so they actually fit Apple quite well.
>>
If this >>>34874296 is true, rearranging the lines reveals a disturbing secret about the new gun.

-Changes in the safety plunger
-Ambidextrous slide release
-Longer recoil spring assembly
-Magazine well cutout

-No finger grooved
-A new tougher finish
-Reinforced forward notch for the recoil spring assembly
-Changes in the rifling

-Flared magwell
-A smoother trigger similar to the G42/43
-Magazines have an extended front lip

SIG and Springfield/HS have been doing this for years and calling them "Carry" models. They're better for OWB and pleb-tier horizontal shoulder holsters. It's basically what happens when you take the Colt Commander/Springfield Champion concept to the extreme.
