Hey /k/, where do you guys buy your Beretta 92fs? I've checked at the local gun shops buy they have them for like $699 which I'm not paying that much for. Where online do you guys go? I don't mind police trade-ins or italian surplus or anything. A little wear like pic related and tear adds character to the gun, plus I'd tune up the trigger and such. I've heard of them being around $300 places but I can't seem to find them. If you guys can help out it'd be much appreciated.

Southern Ohio Gun has $300ish trade ins with heel mag release.

I've seen them near $500 for Gander Mountain closing deals. If you are really desperate, Taurus PT92s can be had for $300ish too and apparently are pretty solid.

In all honesty OP, new Berettas tend to run $600-700 NIB, with the M9A3 being around $900-1000. I love mine, but its up to you if thats worth it.
>>
>>34853571
I may be thinking Buds or Classic for the $300 euro trade ins, but im 90% sure it was SOG
>>
>>34853571
Yeah I'm really debating just nutting up and buying one new.
>>
>>34853571
>M9A3
I really want one of those, but I can't justify it to myself yet. I'm too busy enjoying my 92FS anyway.

I got mine for $630 at Mill's Fleet Farm, and it was their last one at the time.

Trade ins can be great deals from police. a little broken in, and some holster wear never hurt anyone. I think stock glocks look like shit, but a Gen 2 with scratches and scuffs is hot as shit. Same with Berettas.

Just try to stick with your budget, a gun cant pay for your electric bill. If you gotta save up a bit longer do it, they're still being made.

Alright I did some deeper searching and found these

Heres a classic firearms one, is it just me or do some of the user review photos look like different models of the 92? Like some look newer while some look like they're from early 80s?
I also looked up buds site for their berettas and their prices actually aren't that bad

I will probably use my 92 until the heat death of the universe (92s are borderline indestructible, screw the haters), THEN get a M9A3 when I see one that isnt tan.
>>
>>34853649
which out of the buds look good? I'm no expert at berettas
>>
>>34853686
They are all extremely similar, just make sure it's not the .22 model.

M9 is fine. make sure it has a rail if that is important to you.
>>
>>34853720
>I don't want 9mm I want advanced 9mm
>buys .22 92fs
>>
>>34853659
See that's the thing. I don't want it to replace my FS, I want it because I fuckin love my FS.
>>
>>34853383
well.. $700 msrp, $600 is good for new in shop. $500 lightly used. I really can't see $300 outside of private sales. Dealers often have connections that consumers can't get, so ask around your local gun shops. They wanna move existing inventory first and foremost, but sometimes are fine with special requests.
>>
I bought my 92f used from the range for 500. paid a bit too much but its like brand new, i dont think it ever got much use. its been flawless since ive owned it
>>
>>34853880
also should add places out in the country usually are cheaper and have more used merch.
>>
>>34853880

>>34853647
Alright I've narrowed it down to these 2, they're police trade in for $300.The biggest difference I can tell is cosmetic I think? Like I said I'm no beretta expert. Can you guys see any difference? The classic firearms one has a $20 hand select option which sounds pretty nice.

holy shit anon, just shot you my email.
>>
Just get a Taurus pt92. Same specs/material/plans. The original beretta plant sold the plans to Taurus for the 92. Half the price for the same gun. I have a Taurus 92 from the 80's that I picked up in 2007 for $170. No malfunctions. Got custom redwood grips for it.
>>
>>34853926
92S has different mag release, so have to be careful with which mags you use. I guess you can't inspect the gun before you purchase it this way, but $300 is a really good price.
>>
>>34853926
Skip the hand select it has no meaning.
Get whichever company tickles your pickle more. The 92S trade ins were fucking amazing and I got one in immaculate condition 3 years ago, my favorite range handgun to this day.
>>
>>34854164
>>34854171
well now I've contacted this anon, cause I trust a /k/omrade to take care of a gun.
>>
>>34853926
Well if you just want a 92, a surplus 92S is the best deal out there right now. However keep in mind that the 92S is an older variant and lacks some of the features found in the later models namely the ambi safety and the reversible mag release.

We had a guy trade in a 92S yesterday and I about laughed my ass off because the first thing I thought of was "He probably got this off Sweaty Ben". I seriously considered getting it because it would only cost me about 270, but it was in rough shape and I had already set aside a LNIB 92FS for 450.
