Any full-sized pistol that's steel or alloy framed will have pretty gentle recoil just because of its weight. .45's recoil is very manageable, anyway.

i shot a g17 and xd40 and the 40 had a softer recoil.
in theory, pistols with heavier slides have lower recoil.

Felt recoil is typically a bigger influence on how good a gun feels under recoil than any slight change in theoretical values. Things like a design really fitting your hand or allowing you to get a better high grip.
Personally i find heavier/larger slides more "snappy" feeling than smaller slides(say sig vs CZ). I chalk it up to having a larger reciprocating mass above my wrist, putting more strain on my girly wrists.
Then again there's plenty of people out there who say they feel no real difference between various designs of the same caliber. Seems to be surprisingly subjective topic.
