eh, probably just as good an operator as any long-time cop. not that cops come close to like, rangers or even regular 11bs but I'd imagine the police training + having enough experience to make it to detective probably means they'd be able to keep their wits about them in a fight, move effectively, fire effectively, etc.

Being a detective is more about brains than it is brawn. A detective would probably do a good job in intel rather than on the front line.
