A part of the side being 500mm RHA doesn't mean that the entire side of the tank is just a big magic shield all at the max number.

There are huge portions of the side of any tank not much about 100-200, some even less.

Probably the Jagdtigers, simply because of the crews. They'd have a hard as fuck time actually killing the Abrams, however, they'd have better luck going for a mobility kill. Maybe they could penetrate the sides, though.

If you hit an M1 in the ass it's toast. The turbine is barely protected. Bradleys have disabled M1s during friendly fire incidents by shooting them in the rear.

Why do Americans insist on believing that the Abrams is some sort of invincible super-tank which just has to show up in order to win? It has proven highly vulnerable and suffered fairly heavy losses in combat. It's not better than other modern MBTs.

The simple truth is that the Abram's armour will probably stand up to hits from the jt'ers, however because of how real life works it would probably be effectively disabled long before a crew kill. Yes the abrams isn't a super tank, however it has much better fcs, optics, and if it wasn't disabled in the first round from jt'ers then it would probably be able to take most of them out while they reload.

True, however every other MBT would also be disabled from the kind of IED's that take out tanks. Most tanks these days are on fairly even playing fields, with perhaps the Russian tanks being a little bit better at surviving hits from propelled weapons.

How is this even a question? The Abrams out classes the jagdtiger in every relevant category.

First way the fat nerds from /v/ can win: Turn around and drive away. The Abrams has an operation range of 265 miles on a full tank. The Jagdtigers on flat level roads have a range of 75 miles. Withstanding any mechanical failures on both sides.
Second way the fat nerds from /v/ can win. Out Gun the Jagdtigers The Abrams 120 and its corresponding ammunition types can penetrate the Jagdtiger and any angle from any relevant distance. And becasue of the FCS system and the stability of the tank it can do this while moving. The jagdtiger being a case-mate tank destroyer, can only shoot when pointed at the target and not moving. No amount of ace training can overcome the tanks design.
Third way the fat nerds from /v/ can beat the jagdtigers. Using the enviroment
There is also no enviroment that abrams isnt superior to the jagdtiger in every relevant way. The Abrams has night fighting capabilities as well as flir imaging. The aces may be able to hide themselves in brush but they can not hide their hot metal box of a tank. If they were to run away from the jagdtigers, which they can do with ease, and hide until dusk or nightfall the jagdtigers would be unable to fight in that environment.

The Abrahms is an amazing tank, but not perfect. In this situation the jagdtigers are outclassed in every relevant category.
