On the contrary war it self is boring, it's battles that people would be interested in, and only for a brief period of novelty and then they'll start wanting smaller scale squad or platoon level brawls, or just simple one on one fights.

What the audience wants doesn't necessarily define what the sport will give them. The thing about sport is that the audience is often a part of the sport, regardless of their choosing. Whether it be the damage a booing crowd does to an opposing team, or the spilt blood of a spectator who became part of the action.

It requires the skill of smoozing with management or executives of a company while all of you pretend you are engaging in a sport. Golf's sole purpose is to let boomers and fat Gen Xers think they are active.
