Yes. You will need to go to the county of your current address with the DMV. It's a statewide permit anyway, so there's no issue with living in two different places within the State.

Former Craig's shill/fan checking in to spread the good news: mays computer and outdoor (the business that moved in after Craig's went under) has applied for an FFL, has an in house gunsmith, and will be selling firearms again.
They have told me they're in contact specifically with SIG reps and will most likely have the entire line of SIG optics (they're gearing themselves towards the tech side of things, sadly)

I'm both nervous and excited to see what happens, but my milsurp obsessed ass is probably gonna be hugely disappoint.

They used to be one of the four good places to get guns near a 256 area code.

Larrys' (good luck getting help) LRG (good luck with them actually wanting your money) and Cabelas (good luck finding anyone who's got an IQ above 90) were the only other options.

They had a good selection of surplus and reasonable FFL transfer fees.

Oh shit I remember that place. Went in a few times and some of the guys were pretty knowledgeable. I didn't know they closed down. Also, jcs gun and tackle in Jordan lane was sold and is now called mr big guns. Jcs was pretty fuss and it still is, but they usually have some surp. Bought a vetterli from them and saw a siamese mauser and pic related last time I was in there. They have a ton of reloading stuff too

What states are those?

I've had my AL pistol permit for a few years, and AL is listed as my official residency on my DL. Problem is I have lived and worked in MS for the past two years without changing my residence here. Am I doing anything illegal?

Technically yes. You're required by law to update your DL to the address you live at. And concealed pistol permits require a DL.

But just like everyone is telling these kids away at school it's ok bc you can do it if you lie about it.

When you buy a gun, the address on the 4473 has to match your DL of course. And again legally your DL is supposed to have a current address.
