Most testfags find that 380 doesn't really suppress any better than 9mm. So you are getting an as loud round that's less powerful and costs more.

Admittedly, part of this is possibly due to gun design issues.

I would be curious to see a side by side meter test of a g42 and g43. Or maybe a beretta 83 and a 9mm of similar dimensions with the same can.
