what the fuck are you doing to your knives that they break on you? quit pounding it into the pavement and use it like it was intended. Your 150 dollar knife does absolutely nothing a 15 dollar mora cant do. I have even batoned wood (which is stupid in general but that is another discussion) with mine and it is just fine. Only valid reason I see would be if you wanted something other than a scandi grind or if you really wanted a folder which is not what the OP is asking for anyway seeing as he wants a combat/survival knife.
