AR-15 Iron Sights?

Just do the carry handle sights with the wide aperture, they're fantastic

for fixed, lmt or DD. for folding, i really like lwrc skirmish sights. theyre like troys but better made, rounder edges, and a better rear aperture. the only issue is finding them on sale, i wouldnt pay full price on a set but around $150 is good.
griffin tac, spikes tac, and scalar works have their own sights also but ive never used them.

You mean no plastic MBUS, right?
If you want folding sights, I'm in love with the MBUS pro's. They have a great sight picture and when they're folded you can forget they're there. I have the standard MBUS pro front sight and the LR rear.

If you want fixed, Daniel Defense front and rear are great and not expensive

I like my Matech, it gives a stupidly open view of everything, and blocks your view of nothing in use. Also is still fully adjustable.

I've thought about opening up the aperture with a drillpress, but I think I'd just fuck it up.

I bought mine with the plan that I'd eventually mount an optic to my AR, but I havent in a year I've had it, and it makes me wish I'd have gone with a carry handle upper.

You can get a used KAC Micro off ebay for ~$60.

Flip up sights are unreliable at keeping zeroed
The flippy shit will just break the fuck off when the sight strikes against any rock or hard surfaces just right.
Those cheap utg leapers block sights are perfect to carry in ruck or rig as backup

Might as well go for the cheapest ones you can get.

Backup sights are inherently inaccurate as they are attached to the free float handguard, not the barrel, and the front sight is shifting around in relation to the barrel all the time.

Anyone who spends more than$100 on a set is a jackass.
