I Rockwell hardness of 60 is best for a sword.
60 is an even number that you can divide by 3.
Also, which metals harden the best?
A thread died for this.
>Also, which metals harden the best?
Doom Metal followed by Black Metal.

rockwell is for fags. real men brinell.
Hardness means fuckall without knowing which alloy is involved. What's good at 57 may not be good at 60. Depends on the steel and what you want the qualities to be

Real men vickers. Brinell is for slack jawed fags.
>>34823339
The best steel would be the steel that is best at 60 because that is the best hardness.
Since you know so much, which steel is best at 60 Rockwell?
>>34823295
Rockwell has like 3 scales of hardness. without knowing what scale, that could mean anything from spoon soft to tool steel level of hardness.
>>34823991
Ahcktually there are like 15 different Rockwells scales. But nobody uses A or B for hardened steel.

read OP's second sentence and think about why that may indicate that you're being trolled.

>It is a composite number, with divisors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, and 60, making it a highly composite number.[1] Because it is the sum of its unitary divisors (excluding itself), it is a unitary perfect number,[2] and it is an abundant number with an abundance of 48. Being ten times a perfect number, it is a semiperfect number.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/60_(number)
It's 3 score from old literature and a unitary perfect number which is badass but it just happens to also be the perfect hardness for a sword. More harder would be brittle and softer is gay. The very best is 60.
Are you trolling?
