Hard to say when they only jumped a couple times. After 1941, they were only ever used as conventional infantry.

As light infantry they were very effective. As paratroopers, not so much. Airborne operations were still in their infancy and they had a lot of limitations due to their equipment, such as rifles and machine guns being dropped in bundles and them not being able to pull slips with their chutes.
