So I've been experimenting with different draws for my barebow and I noticed pretty much everyone is split between split finger and three under to the point where you can't even find any information on a different draw.
That being said the draw I found most comfortable, consistent, and reliable for myself has been split finger but two over, so placing the index and middle finger above the arrow and ring finger below arrow. But I can't find any info on it even though I wanted to see other examples of people using it.
Is there any particular reason this draw method isn't popular/considered? Or is it just obscure due to such popularity of the Mediterranean draw?
Truthfully, if you're able to do two over/two under comfortably and with good consistent results, just go for it.
The Mediterranean draw is prevalent because it's what majority of people in modern organized competition uses. It's what olympic archers use, its what they're taught, and its what the high rankers ultmately teach.
