How is it that people own things like Colt 1878s, Astra 400s, and multiple legit Colt SAAs and have no idea what they are and not have any interest in them? Meanwhile, most of people on /k/ would literally kill people to get our hands on some of this stuff.

So just got back from looking at the guns, bought 2 colt single action army's for 800 bucks, one of them a first gen. Unfortunately the first gen won't cock but I'm going to take it apart tomorrow and figure it out

Op here again Im trying to talk the guy into taking me out to his dad's place soon, I guess he's a hoarder and has about 5 acres packed full of shit. Found some old WW2 pictures and a 1910 100 reichsbank note in a old holster

So I took the locked up saa all the way apart, reassembled it and it still won't cycle all the way. It works fine until I put in the cylinder and base pin. Not sure what's wrong with it, I tried swapping the cylinder from the other pistol and it does the same thing. Should I take it to a gunsmith or do any anons have some advice?
