Fucking love this jacket. Great cold weather/fall/winter jacket. Real heavy and more pockets than I could ever find shit to fill them with. I've seen people compare it to the US M-65 and claim that it's thicker and warmer but from owning both I can tell you that's a load of shit. The M-65 is nearly twice as thick even without the liner. None the less the Swiss M-70 is fantastically made and well worth the $20 it should cost you. BOB pics and details incoming.
>>
>>34823876
I need one with a hood plus i think i would freeze to death in -25 celsius weather.

It has a hood. The hood even has a sniper visor. Also I would recommend a M-65 for you good sir with a liner. I use a M-51 wool liner in my M-65

>>
>>34824063
Yeah i checked out the swiss jackets they're pretty cheap but the M-65 isn't
>>
>>34824000
Oh the M-65 Is what you meant. It will be considerably more expensive than the Alpen. Like around 40-60 bucks.
>>
>>34824074
>>34824082
As stated before it's significiantly more thick and warm than the alpen

>>34824074
Check Goodwill's website. M65s pop up there pretty often, and I got mine for just under twenty, not including shipping. The liners shouldn't cost too much more, and you can get those at a ton of places.
>>
>>34824116
Alpen has those too. if that's your only concern I would take it with a grain of salt. Those M-65's are warmer than shit with the liner in, especially if you use a wool one like I do.

Just stumbled across an original USMC medic pouch, looks to be nearly mint condition. Completely full with everything but the two field bandages unopened, and the bandages are still inside the boxes with the plastic inside still sealed. Got the whole shabang for 40 bucks.

The two brown bottles are iodine, still have the wax seal intact.
Blue pads in bags are compression gauze, sealed
Brown wrapping appears to be rough napkins
The brown packet is an unopened P-38 can opener
White tube is "bacitracin-neomycin ointment", unopened
The three unopened plastic vials under the boxed bandages are "benzalkonium chloride tincture, tinted"
OD vial is a metal container of chapstick, "Lipstick, anti-chap, and sun burn-protective, Type II, hot climate. Unused.

If anyone wants up close pics of anything, let me know.

Hey fags, got some new shit.
So over my absence, I've got two new uniforms that I promised I'd get in the past.

I now currently own a Swiss M-83 "Barrack Wear" (As called by Alpenfudge) uniform and an East German Summer uniform.
In addition to the East German uniform, I also own a combat belt, combat pack (with the y-straps), AK mag pouch, and an Overseas cap.
Looking forward to finishing both my Swiss M-71 collection and the East German Summer uniform.

What other European uniforms should I go for? Maybe something Cold War?

What bullets? Rifle, intermediate or peestol?

Furthermore, helmets are not made to protect from direct fire.

Pistols should be able to be stopped by proper steel helmets, such as the EG M56, but they are still steel helmets, so dont expect much.

For intermediate cartridges, lok at modern helmets, i heard some russian models should be quite decent, but fuck your neck up. Else, maybe modern kevlars could protect you, but dont cite me on that. Stay away from old kevlars for protection, due to the material becoming brittle as time goes on.

Rifle rounds.... welp, youre fucked, unless you strap a few decimeters beton around your head.

Try Sarco or Begadi, if you absolutely must have Rhodesian camo.

I don't work for either company, haven't examined the goods, and can't speak for the quality, but those two are the only game in town.

Begadi is a German company selling airsofter stuff, including BDUs in assorted colors and patterns. They call their Rhodesian clone "OPFOR camo" and have BDUs, boonie hats, and I think a little web gear.

Sarco calls their stuff "ATAFREX" and claims it's actual milsurp from an undisclosed source in Africa. They have pants, short-sleeve bush shirts, a little web gear, and Rhodesian-style patrol caps with the little veil in the back to keep the sun off the back of your neck.

Not really sure, what is the most protection I could get, or want for my shtf gear? I didnt really know helmets werent made to withstand direct fire. Also where is a reliable source to get helmets from? Ive checked ebay and other places and there are a lot of reproductions that are mixed in that I dont want to get confused and accidentally buy.

>>

I have no idea. Nothing I've ever seen GROM wear, let alone Poland.
I've seen them wear Desert Pantera, Multicam, ATACS, and solid colors but nothing like that, unless they were just going from some psuedo-Desert Pantera/ATACS.
Was hoping they'd do Metro camo, but I guess GROM is more well known than SPAP.
Quite disappointed learning the female operator has fucking green hair. Not that Ubisoft would bother making semi-realistic operators. As long as reddit kiddies get a new waifu I guess.

You have the best shot at finding both Jigsaw and the Belgian AF flecktarn.
It's not super common over here.

Well if you live in a society that sees women as being equal with cattle, would you think much about if the enemy would use cattle for the military?

Does anyone know if austrian pistol belts are compatible with ALICE webbing? If they're not, does anyone know where I can get an austrian webbing vest?

Austrian Webbing Belt works with ALICE pouches, but adjusting the pistol belt is annoying af. Haven't tried the other way around.

Most Armies will contract civilian companies to make their shit
Inna USA, I can buy BDUs from different years when they were still around, and if you bought from a different brand they'd typically be a bit off.

At worst, I figure I can take the ribbon and pips off, move the medal down to the right spot to wind up with a mini-DDR collection.

Hey AA, what can you suggest fabric wise that is quite thick and still has a pattern on? Pic related.

This is repro Karst right? I've been looking for some but is this price too high or is that about average for what Karst goes for?

It's a serb repro (debatable though, could just have used the chinese), so it's probably as good as you're gonna get.

Bad torrent client. You should switch to qbittorrent instead.

I'd recommend using Linux instead if you can. Ubuntu or Linux Mint are super easy to use and just all around superior to windows

Now what is this
>>
>>34909401
I can't think of any particularly thick fabrics (I assume we're talking camo here as far as patterns go) off the top of my head.
Finnish (as well as Estonian, which is made to the exact same specs) uniform fabric is heavier and tougher than Western stuff if that counts.
>>
>>34911711
Is either readily available to you? I suppose Estonian must be?
>>
>>34911742
There's no steady source for either (Varusteleka does stock different variants of Finnish M05, but it's not always available), however I do have some Estonian fabric at the moment. You can have it if you want.
