I have always preferred glock, to me it's a great handgun.
>>
>>34809564
I hate glock and kind of sort of like the Px4 so I guess beretta.

Idk which gun is more accurate or reliable, but I like the way berettas look a lot better. I hate the way glocks look.
>>
>>34809564
having carried both for about 5 years, i'd go with glock.

reasons: weight (beretta is a fucking brick)
design (open slide sucks balls)
accuracy (glock's trigger definitely sucks, but i like it more and it lends to better accuracy for me ymmv)
reliability (never had a glock jam, ftf, fte, etc., but i've had my fucking 92 shit the bed dozens of times -- thankfully only on the range, never had to use it in a life & death scenario)
origin: (benelli makes a fine shotgun, but the pizza niggers suck at everything else. i'll take an austrian or german pistol any day over the italian options)
parts ubiquity: glock parts are everywhere and they're cheap. i'd rather fork over cash to replace a glock mag than a beretta mag. they last longer too in my experience.
>>

Beretta for aesthetic

>>34809564
Heres the largest redpill for "which gun is better"
what ever works best for you
>>
Glock for reliability and accuracy;

The odd grip angle on a glock, once you get used to it (takes awhile at least for me) literally makes you a better shot. And they don't jam.
>>
>>34813436
>choosing aesthetics (form) over functionality.

Britain a few years ago, IIRC.
>>
>>34809564
Glock: cheap police trades, cheap mags, cheap parts, easily upgrade sights, better for small handed shooters (gen IV/SF), lighter for carry, subcompact/compact/full sizes available in a myriad of calibers, cheaper new by $100, no safety levers, easy complete disassembly, accessory rail.

Beretta: all metal design means softer shooting recoil, limited to 9mm/40 calibers, only available in full or compact sizes, front sight (92fs/m9) part of the frame, parts kits going up in price, grip panel options, Wilson Combat parts upgrades, open slide design allows crap to get into the pistol but reduces fte/stovepipes, better resale value, locking block weak point in design, available in DAO DA/SA decocker only variants, old surplus still usable and marketable.

Own both cause freedoms. Enjoy shooting the Beretta more and also more accurate (for me, ymmv). Both reliable and overpriced.
>>
>>34809564
Beretta
>>
>>34809564
I dont like Glock grip angle or trigger.

DA on Beretta 92 isnt super great, but acceptable. SA is great, and since most shots will be SA, that makes it overall better imo.

Optional safety is easy to deactivate, it practically launches itself into "off". New flush-fit mags let you stuff 17+1 in the Beretta's, so capacity is about even.

The downside is the weight and the fact that it was made for BIG MEATY CLAWZ. If you are a manlet, prepare to spend a range day finding the best grip. Weight is just a personal thing, i found it pretty balanced. Glocks tend to not have that proplem so much. Takedown on Beretta is also pretty fun, I like the lever as opposed to the trigger-pull.

That said, aftermarket is owned by Glock, pure and simple, and Glocks come in all shapes, sizes, and calibers. They are reliable and widely used, and will likely continue to be.

That said, I have NEVER questioned my Beretta's quality or reliability.
>>
Glock was a cutting edge game-changer in the 1980's, although it made a poor replacement for the Beretta 92, the 1911 platform, and Hi Powers and its various clones.

Now days, almost every major firearms manufacturer has surpassed Glock in plastic frame technology, and Glock is outdated, overpriced, old school tech that never did manage to equal 1911's, Beretta 92's, or Hi Powers.

The only people buying Glocks these days are people who were noguns first trained on them, idiots who grew up playing vidya, and the FBI.
>>
>>34815510
Ok even I know that's bait and I'm not a huge glawk fan. Most people buy glock largely due to their well-earned reputation for performance and reasonable price point, as well as a massive variety to choose from.

I really dont think most striker fired guns have caught up to Glock in every way. Maybe a few, like the PPQ and VP9 are "better" by most metrics, but there are manufacturers spitting out plastic garbage that makes Glock look like a gift from heaven.
>>
>>34815555

What a waste of quads.

If the FBI, idiots as they are, didn't choose Glock as an issue sidearm, I believe they'd be close to collapse.

Glock is an outdated firearm, overpriced for what it is, and if you can't discern the drop in popularity and sales of its products, you'll be a bigger fool than any retard in the FBI's procurement office,

Plastic guns are Tupperware. Real guns are made from metal.
>>
I'm a massive berettaboo, always have been, always will be.

The glock is objectively better. There are many things that a person may prefer about the Beretta, but the 90 series isn't the pattern that's been copied to death. I wish to god the 9000S was a success but it wasnt.
>>
>>34813547
this is the first positive thing I've ever heard about a glock on the internet, everyone usually just shits on them

Oh, fuck off, Gluckboi. Just because Gluck uses the same plastic that they make the dragon dildoes you ram up your ass isn't reason enough for that kind of bait.
>>
>>34809564
I have both and while I like the feel of the Beretta, it's too big for what it does and the open slide sucks. Glock for is better for defense and in general.
>>

You're fairly ignorant, then. Knowledge of arms used by allies, foes and potential foes just might be important. You never know.

You never know.

If you, little man, are going to insist on arguing a position, perhaps you should try to make a point in favor of your argument instead of displaying complete total ignorance and a complete lack of knowledge regarding the subject. You've been BTFO, yet you continue with hysterical, juvenile nonsensical responses.

Besides, it's way past your bedtime.

Owned over a dozen 9mm Glawks and Beretta 92s.

The 92 is more vastly more reliable, low recoil, more accurate, better for suppression, and superior craftsmanship.

The Glock is more durable, much less maintenance intensive, super easy to work on, and easier to learn trigger control since it is striker fired.

They are both awash in aftermarket, spare parts, and both are great. I prefer the Beretta for a range/house pistol, but Glawk is better for a carry/field gun.
>>
Beretta for home defense/innawoods

>>34816550
Wasn't that Kimber's claim to fame for a while?
That they reworked some old 1911s for marines.
>>
>>34817009
I never heard anything about that, I checked wikipedia just to see, and they don't mention anything of the sort. It seems like Kimber has always been able to make good looking 1911's using inferior manufacturing and then marketing it really classy.

I don't own nor have I ever owned a glock, I have/had several Berettas and I'm trying to pick up nice examples if the 70,80,90 series, 1301, BM-59 and whatever else tickles me. I can shoot the 90 series well enough, the control scheme doesn't bother me and there are some subjective preferences, like as a whole the glock is better. The glock will never be my go to, it'll never look as good or feel as good to me. It's still a better design than the 92, otherwise the 9000, Px4 and APX wouldn't have come along
>>
>>34818699
>It's still a better design than the 92, otherwise the 9000, Px4 and APX wouldn't have come along
That's not exactly proof of your claim, just proof that they had to keep up with trends and like to innovate.
>>
>>34809564
>argument between Glocks and Berettas
why? how is that possibly worth the energy? I guess if Glock got off their sorry asses and made something even comparable to Berettas full line-up fine, but Glock just makes 1 1/2 pistols in different sizes and Beretta makes practically every type of small arm that doesn't launch something.
