i own one but: they have a lot of small parts for what it is, actual cz mags are pricey, atleast $40+ each (not the shitty $20 cz mfg ones), and not everyone wants to shoot 9 mak.
also bulgarian makarovs are cheaper and despite being single stack, an arguably preferable alternative.

I agree, I got a Mak. Regardless of single stack mags (which for cc is really a non issue) I think its better. Rugged as Fuck, easy to maintain and use, and a good enough caliber that's rather cheap to get at fun shows. Simply preference tho.

It was a great value when prices were sub $200. I bought mine from Wideners 5 years ago for $260 shipped.

Mine only complaints are:

-slide release spring is not captive and will fall out somehow, with enough use.
-finish is starting to wear at the rear slide and frame, probably due to my de-oiling with brake cleaner.

On paper. The CZ has much better sights and ambitious controls. That's about it. New make sights aren't hard to find, double stacks exist, it's not a shit show on the inside like the cz, and the CZs internals are a shitshow. It's just like the TT-33 vs the Vz52. They just wanted to have their own design

i think one of the arguments against the cz for CC (calibers aside) is the grip. its a small gun but the double stack mags make the grip kind of large, to the same size as a medium sized pistol. grip size is important for concealment, in whcih case you might as well carry a glock 19 for example (in before neckbeards yell at me for suggesting glock 19 for cc, it was just an example).
