Ultimate 9mm battle

ITT: we compare the most popular full size 9mm pistols on the market. Here are the rules

>must be chambered in 9mm
>must be a semi-auto pistol
>still in production today
>main purpose is not competition
>full size
>can be either striker fired or hammer
>polymer or metal

I will post a list of 9mm pistols at the end of this thread and if I forgot one, refer to these rules.

Now the main part, the review. You must follow the following template in order to keep it standardized. You will give a score ranging from * (absolutely horrible the worst) to ***** ( the best, amazing). You can add a few key words to complement you review but keep it short (ex: Reliability *** Some failures to feed, not cheap ammo friendly). If you have many pistols, rank it from best to worst. Here is the template:

Pistol name
>Reliability
>Durability
>Quality (QC, fitting, finish...)
>Trigger
>Ergonomics (try to be objective)
>Accessories
>Magazine quality/durability
>Notable feature (you can add 2 sentences)

Because we are reviewing the general quality of the pistol, price is not a factor unless it's really noteworthy, add it in >Notable features

Here's the initial list

Sig 320
Sig 226
HK USP9
HK VP9
HK P30
FNS-9
FNX-9
CZ-75B SP-01

they're all wonder nines there purpose is to be reliable, shoot 9mm, and be somewhat comfy to use. unless they are notably unsafe. they are all functionally the same with minor deviations in qualities: weight, price, capacity, ergonomics, and inherit accuracy.
id would develop a hundred point score with 20 points in each category

for example
m&p gen 1 15 for ergonomics (bad trigger but overall comfy gun), 18 for weight, 17 capacity, 18 for price, 16 for accuracy giving it a total score of 84. or a B

A glock 19, 17 for ergonomics, 18 for weight, 16 for capacity, 14 for price, 18 for accuracy. for a score of 85 or a B
>>
>>34796161
they're nice guns that people on /k/ will get angry about.
>>
Beretta 92

Reliability ***** Open Slide + Well Machined
Durability **** Disdain for polymers
Quality **** Brunition finish is sexy
Trigger ** DA/SA, mushy
Ergonomics **** What are you, a manlet?
Accessories *** It's not a Glock
Mag Quality **** It's fine, no complaints

Notable Feature: A E S T H E T I C, Made in the USA
>>
CZ, Beretta and Glock. That's all I see here in the Europe. And in the end I see no drastic differences between them.
>>
>>34796250
it's 4chan, people will get angry about anything.

Here are the 9mm Pistols I personally own and shoot, in order of preference:

CZ 75B with aftermarket modifications
HK USP9c LEM
JO Arms Kareen MKI refurb
CZ 83 (9mm Browning is also 9mm)
Zastava M88a (Shot to shit)
SCCY CPX-2 (the only objectively junk gun I own currently)

>>34796168
oh shit, forgot to contribute.

I've only shot USP9, P30, Springfield XD and Beretta M9.

I loved the HK's, the P30's ergos pulled it ahead of the USP. No FTF or FTE and I was able to get decent groupings at 25yds. Trigger on USP was a crisp but had long reset, P30's was the same, but better if that makes sense
The Springfield XD was okay all around, not bad not good. 6/10 all catagories. GRIP ZONE
Beretta 92FS I shot when I in the Navy, only ever had one FTE and that pistol was as old as I was and had been dropped, fucked with by shitty armorers, etc. If you get a new one, and treat it with even minimal care, it'll be fine. Trigger had clean break with decent reset. Never had any ergo issues, the slide safety is fine, get over it.

I'm trying to types this out quickly at work sorry of it's a mess.

OP here. I forgot to add 2 other points between quality and trigger:

>Accuracy
>Design

I never shot handguns extensively but here's my review for the few I did

CZ-75 SP-01
>Reliability ****
>Durability ***** All metal construction, used everywhere
>Quality ****
>Accuracy **** Follow up shots easy
>Design **** Somewhat thin serrations
>Trigger ***
>Ergonomics *** Manlet hands
>Accessories N/A (don't know)
>Magazine quality ****
>Notable features Most copied handgun in the world

Glock 17
>Reliability ***** (shot everything)
>Durability **** Plastic guide rod, thin metal
>Quality *** Not cheap but not noteworthy
>Accuracy ****Follow up shots easy but greater recoil
>Design *** Stupid simple, slide release too flush, mags don't drop free
>Trigger **** Preferred to DA/SA
>Ergonomics ****
>Accessories ***** The king
>Magazine quality ****
>Notable feature Easy to shot and extremely reliable
>>
>>34796384

Contributing my modest "collection"

P320
>Reliability ***** I purposefully didn't clean or lube mine for ~1200 rounds of Tula steel case, not a single malfunction
>Durability **** Finish is still great, no wear or nicks. Polymer frame feels a bit flimsy
>Quality *** Overall good, but the barrel fitment leaves a huge gap at the bottom of the barrel and a tiny one at the top, leading to wear on the barrel finish.
>Trigger **** It's no 1911 trigger, but for a striker gun, it's one of the best I've tried next to the PPQ and VP9
>Ergos *** Takedown lever rubs on my thumb during recoil, leading to discomfort. Otherwise, feels natural in the hands
>Accessories *** Replacement grips and aftermarket are good, grips in short supply tho
>Mag quality **** Thick steel, survived many drops onto hard ground during reload drills.
>Notable feature: apparently not drop safe, which is concerning.

CZ SP-01 Tactical (suppressor ready version)
>Reliability ***** No malfunctions so far, all steel case ammo
>Durability **** Finish is already wearing a bit on the barrel, polycoat is holding up very well
>Quality **** Finish wear is annoying, but fitment and machining are great
>Trigger ***** When dry firing, the DA pull is heavy, when firing, it feels very close to the SA pull, which is excellent imo. The SA has a rolling break instead of a solid wall, which I prefer and shoot more accurately.
>Ergos **** Rubber grip is very...grippy, molded to fit most hands, high grip with beaver tail, slide release lever can dig into my support hand thumb a bit.
>Accessories *** Haven't bought or looked into any so far, so I don't know
>Mag quality *** Finish is wearing a bit prematurely, followers tilt downwards when loading on occasion, but no mag induced malfunctions so far.
>Notable feature: Full length internal rails. Most accurate handgun I've fired.

>>
>>34796596
I've shot one of the tri-star cz clones, the t-100 i think, which is a knockoff of the CZ-75 Compact. It was decent, same trigger set up as the jericho I sold, but didn't shoot to point of aim.

You mean the jams that happened because sand was getting into the shitty outsourced magazines the Army was using? The jams that stopped once they switched to a new vendor who actually followed Beretta's instructions?

Who could have foreseen that cut-rate components would lead to worse performance?

The magazine issues are actually a separate cluster fuck.
>>
>>34798513
The one I shot was like a half a foot low at 25 yards, so I think overall quality may vary from pistol to pistol. The owner also verified that it was not shooting to point of aim for him, so it was not just me.

Beretta PX4 Storm full
>Reliability
**** Well Machined but doesn't like limp wristed faggots.
>Durability
**** Polymer frame of good quality however the guide rod feels flimsy
>Quality (QC, fitting, finish...)
***** Very nice finish and fit
>Trigger
*** DA/SA, reset is longer than I would like
>Ergonomics (try to be objective)
**** For large handed users very very nice however I would recommend adding talon grip tape.
>Accessories
*** Decent support for aftermarket accessories by Beretta including steel replacements for most parts and ability to change it for a decocker/safety to just a decocker.
>Magazine quality/durability
***** Very nice mags that are very cheap (almost always on sale on Beretta's website)
>Notable feature (you can add 2 sentences)
Rotating barrel for more linear recoil.
>>
>>34796108
I don't know if it's corssing the line to competiton, but here's a review for my Gen 4 G34
Reliability: **** (minimum handloads won't cycle)
Durability: abstain (as I use it as a range toy, but probably pretty decent)
Quality: **** Slide to frame fit has play, but slide is very nicely machined and evenly finished
Trigger: ** (comes stock with (-) connector, not good but workable)
Ergonomics: **** Fits my hand very well with large beavertail backstrap, my sisters hand with the backstraps off - a bit blocky
Accessories: *****
Magazine quality: **** plastic mags with metal feed lips, replacement mags are cheap and plentiful

All in all great value for a do-it-all pistol. Not the best for any particular application but workable for most. Would definitely recommend IF you can work with the trigger (which works just fine for me)
>>
>>34796271
>And in the end I see no drastic differences between them.

M&P9 2.0
>Reliability ****
Eats any kind of ammo, steel case included. Runs dry and dirty easily without accuracy reduction. Just don't help the slide home or it might not go into battery all the way.
>Durability ****
Made for cops and military, who typically abuse their sidearms. Steel insert in poly frame adds stability. Can take serious punishment, but will break if you purposely abuse it.
>Quality (QC, fitting, finish...) ***
Lower price point means only average fitting and finish, but QC is extremely constant. You get what you pay for.
>Trigger ***
Not good, not bad, just okay. Hinged trigger is hit-or-miss for people. Short and noticeable reset.
>Ergonomics *****
Fits well with hand and comes with backstraps for different sized hands. Grip angle often praised by casuals and pros alike. Excellent and agressive stippling make losing grip near impossible.
>Accessories ****
Works with nearly all M&P gen 1 holsters and accessories, which are Glock's close second in variety.
>Magazine quality/durability ***
Takes gen 1 mags. Mags are of normal quality and durability. 17 rounds flush fit. Higher cap mags available, but are often 3rd party with questionable reliabilty.
>Notable feature. Near total parts compatibility with the gen 1 guns. Comes in Black or FDE with with either a 5 or 4.25 inch slide and barrel at same price.

>Best trigger, accuracy, and finish I've seen/felt on a production gun makes this a great range piece. Spotty reliability(100% when lubed with brass ammo) with poor ammo or when dry keeps it from being the best DA/SA gun on the market bar none.
>>
>>34800711
Editing for clarity
>Reliability: * * * Seemingly can be trusted when kept wet and using brass ammo. Does not like light steel case and prone to malfunction when dry.
>Durability: * * * * Above average. No weak looking parts or points. Everything that should be metal is. Polymer has more metal inserts in it than most designs.
>Quality: * * * * * Beautiful fit/finish. Glass like finish on machined parts and a beautiful deep blue tennifer slide coating reminiscent of how I've heard early glocks being described. Some parts have even seemingly been radiused to give the gun a smoother feeling when manipulated.
>Trigger: * * * * * Best stock trigger I've ever felt. DA is smooth, long enough, and not too heavy. SA is very short, crisp, smooth, Has very little travel and Resets in a short and tactile fashion.
>Ergos: * * * * Comfortable enough gun. Only gets four stars though because it is slicker than it should be(grip and slide) and the slide release lever can be surprisingly sharp when new.
> Aftermarket: * It's a good thing the gun doesn't really "need" much, aftermarkets practically non existent.
> Mags: * * * * Steel, do their job well, and beautifully finished like the rest of the gun
