Good news! It makes such good sense it's almost hard to fathom the System actually doing that.

Here in Canuckistan, the Canadian Gestapo in conjunction with the Clerks of the Queens Court would charge the gun owner with multiple firearms offenses (I could list 12 or 13 in a case like that) in a blanket method (pile on the charges so that plea bargaining will still keep many charges sticking - kinda like you want $800 for your car so you advertise it for $1000.. then sell at $800 letting the other guy think he gets a good deal & you get what you wanted in the 1st place. And if you do get $1000, even better! it makes the prosecutors career even stronger).

If you fight the charges, your lawyer places a lein on your home/assets (he wants to get paid whether you win or not, and The System bogs you down and systematically demonizes you in the press. Unfortunately, the sheeple will applaud the govt move. In the meantime your right to a quick trial (within 18 months as upheld by the Supreme Court du Canada, 2002) will be grossly violated. Your loss of employment & public shaming will likely cause you to lose your home & everything.

In the end if you do hold out and win, you likely won't have the financial resources to seek compensation. Almost no one does, but the years long fight is emotionally draining & most Canucks just want to move on. But the good news is that you will be free once again to start over & rebuild your life. A shattered person, but "free" as it's described in Canada.

This is a great choice anon. When the F90 Atrax is released in the US, I'm buying one with the 16inch Barrel and then buying a suppressor for it. The 16" with a 556K can is still less OAL then an AR-15 14.5"

This is the reason I do not use my FAL as my HD gun - I know for a fact that shooting someone with .308 at under 100 feet (or really under like... 80 yards) it's going to go clean through them, and then clear through the wall behind that, and the wall 200 feet across the street. You'll be lucky if it only penetrates an interior wall and doesn't brain your neighbor.

Protip for HD guns: Use hollow-point ammunition. It expands like an umbrella and has a lower chance of blowing clean through your target. Also does more damage internally. Use a 12g with 00 buck, or a 9mm or something similar. I even consider the .357 in my revolver overkill for in-home defense as I know it wouldn't stop at the wall behind the guy.
