Red orchestra 2 and rising storm 1 were pretty dope. They made shooting the mosin a fucking wonderful experience.

Squad is great too. The sound effects are visceral, the sparks and dust that guns kick up are pretty as hell, and it all combines with people yelling in the proximity voice chat to make gunfights a rush.

My only complaint is that the zoom/focus feature is weak. Aiming down the site works good at close quarters, but hitting somebody at range is too hard because you can barely see the fucking front sight post, let alone the target. It forces you to get close I guess, but still...

Onward has tons of problems with gunplay. Off the top of my head:
-Scopes are useless (metric tons of parallax, shitty FOV) and unrealistic (they work more like fucked up screens than optics)
-tons of zeroing issues both with and without optics
-poor implementation of weapon manipulation
-ballistics are wack, and in some cases damage too (9x39 is as lethal as 9mm Makarov)

This. Killing Floor 1 and 2 are pretty good with gun realism. Diversifies reloading whether there's one in the chamber or not, perceived recoil and sound effects also feel pretty accurate. With the guns in KF2 I've shot IRL, my brain actually makes a slight connection between the "feel" of shooting it in game VS muscle memory IRL, just without the actual recoil, tinnitus inducing soundwave and smell of gunpowder.

Insurgency is incredible, but hipfire is too inaccurate IMO. Sure is should be necessary in most circumstances but you can easily miss at what is an indisputably point blank range. I shouldn't have to ADS at a target 5 feet in front of me without missing half my shots. I know the laser sight corrects this but I feel insulted when it assumes that a trained soldier can't fire an m249 without ramdomly jumping 20 degrees to the side with every shot.

With mods the game can be amazing. No other game I've played has enemies that try to apply suppressing fire, only consider your last seen position, and try to flank, all intuitively. Other games sometimes do these things, but always try to handhold you with HUD bullshit like YOUR POSITION HAS BEEN COMPROMISED BASE GOING ON ALERT or THIS IS YOUR GHOST OF WHERE THEY LAST SPOTTED YOU BECAUSE THERE'S NO WAY YOU REMEMBER WHERE YOU WERE 5 SECONDS AGO. Shitposting aside, gameplay is completely different, shooting mechanics are completely different, for the most part siege is tdm while in CS the objectives are actually important. The only thing CS and Siege share are that they are both FPSs and both have 5 man squads and have a modern day setting.

All the bolt actions are left handed, all those retarded raider AKs are left handed, the assault rifle looks like a water cooled 1919, with the combat rifle and shotgun when you charge the weapon you pull the bolt back by like a centimeter, and then ride it forward. Seriously, what the fuck. Also because of the retarded ass weapons, mods can't fix it because the weapon animations are also garbage. Either modded in weapons have to have giant ass handgaurds to fit, or have invisible charging handles.

I know, last gf was a LDR and I spent about 3000 bucks over the couple of 2-3 years on seeing each other, which turned out to be a waste.
