/k/'s dream! Chink-tier budget gun. Somebody buy one of these and put 1000rds through it and see what breaks.

A lot of shotgun mags aren't exactly super reliable, and the higher capacity ones are bulky and unwieldy.

Does Centerfire have 5 rnd mags?

As far as I know, they've only offered them via pre-order to people who purchased a SAS-12. I received the pre-order offer by email on July 12th. They might have sold more than they expected from the pre-orders. Last I knew, they were counting them and getting them ready to be inventoried. Maybe they ran out or ran a little too low.

They never even sent me an email.

What >>34785374 said and the fact that shells like to deform in a really tight magazine. Tubes avoid this by having the end to end but in a box magazine you can get some deformation that can cause anything from feeding issues to a completely stuck shell that you need to ram out.

I've been considering it.
$140 wouldn't be too bad of a deal even if the feeding from the magazine and the semi auto cycling was a complete shitshow, making it effectively a single shot.

>>
>>34785350
contrary to videogame/armchair logic using magazines to load a weapon can actually add to reload time if you are shooting constantly

You have to detach and load the magazine, with some weapons that arent magazine fed you can literally reload with one hand while your other is on the trigger. Tldr;fuddmagic
>>
>>34787327
I would buy one if mags weren't unobatanium, chop it down and add a folding stock after polishing and bluing the internals

>>34787431
My fucking God, we're Arabs.
>>34787442
Do a little research on firearm feeding and exctraction. Based off what the guy from the /k/ blog went through on his, it does a little bit of everything. FTF, FTE, stovepipe, etc. You'd need more knowledge than you have in order to get it working and the parts are going to be hard to come by, and shotguns are already not known for cycling reliably. It's more trouble than its worth.
Which, admittedly, isn't much. If they're still on the market after you've bought a gun or three that DOES work right, this thing would be a fine toy.
>>
>>34787459

but it doesn't stick out that far how dare you use hyperbole like that
>>
>>34787465
Show me a .5 second tube reload.
>>
>>34787465
To expand on this, what is going to have a higher rate of fire over ten minutes, A gun with one detachable magazine, or a gun with an attached magazine you can load constantly? The answer is obvious. you need 2 or more mags with capacities high enough to be worth more than attaching and detaching them to have a higher rate of fire.
>>
>>34787327
>3-gun.
>clunky 3rd detachable mags
Sounds like you're shooting for dead last place in open division?
If so, you could do even better, with one of those bolt action shotguns with 2rd mags that lost popularity in the '60s.
>>
>>34787481
I'll buy it as a first gun, dad!
I'll get it working I promise

>>
>>34787523

yeah no shit because that's what magazines normally do. do you want a flush 2-round mag?
>>
>>34787501
Uh, what? Why would you not have that many? Aside from the mags for this turd almost not existing.
>>34787538
Mags aren't actually that hard to reload in half a second. Any SS-rank and a lot of MM's can do it. The real things that make Jerry scary are his revolver reloads and general shooting speed itself.
>>
>>34787481
To be fair we aren't stopping the retard from just fucking googling it.

You could probably fix a lot of issues by homebrewing better springs but that requires a lathe to do right and even then the amount of work needed would be way more than simply buying a decent gun.

>>34785316
Only thing I can think of is completely reworking it to accept saiga mags.
>>
>>34787621
how does one shove 17 rounds in a glock mag or 30 rounds into an ar mag in half a second. Speedloaders?
>>
>>34787707

have more mags. you cant have more shotgun tubes unless you want to carry around a quiver of speedloaders.

Where is the / how is the best way to get one in Florida?

>>
>>34787729
there are ten million reasons why you don't and wouldn't want to carry around eight mags. I dont know who you are but someone asked why you wouldn't want detachable magazines and there are about twenty good reasons. I realize that in the aspect of warfare or short duration competition shooting nothing is going to compare to a bunch of high capacity mags out of a semi auto, but if im plinking with a 22 I would much rather load its internal magazine or even a single detachable 10 round mag periodically than spend my life fingerdicking three 25 round magazines full. Most of the time I want to walk around and shoot at stuff without carrying around magazines that I have to stand there or set on a rock to reload at all, you can reload a tube fed magazine while walking around or while walking up to check your target. Its ok tho I love you.
>>
>modify it to take saiga mags
>have a fantastic cheap shotgun

Why are people down on this again
>>
>>34787985
Because it doesnt function well even after polishing and to mod it for a sauga mag you would need to completely rework the receiver to the point that unless you are already fully set up it would cost more than buying a saiga at even these inflated prices
>>
>>34788006
BUT

I NEED A CHEAP GUN
>>
>>34788033
You can kind of sort of make it work semi reliably but any semi auto tube gun will be much more reliable for about 400-500 dollars.

If you absolutely need a gun right now that is super cheap then as cliche as it is buying an AR would probably be the best choice
>>
>>34788033
go build a slambang then
at least that will work everytime
>>
>>34788063
>>34788081

>>34788081

>>
Okay, autists, listen - this isn't a badass tacticool shotgun or a serious durr gun or something for gentlemen to shoot skeet with. This is basic home defense at a price any poorfag can afford. For that purpose, it's adequate, and any device that fulfills its role adequately can't be said to be "junk".
>>
>>34788185
I mean it might as well be a one shot shotgun and at that point you can just >>34788081

You can do that or get a gun way more dependable for $40 more in the maverick 88
>>
>>34787707
Show me one video of a guy reloading bullets into a detachable mag in the middle of a fucking stage. Literally nobody in the history of ever has done that.
>>
>>34788185
It doesn't tho. It's a jamomatic.
>>
>>34788185
Its actually not because it turns into a single shot at the drop of a hat, a home defense weapon needs to be reliable and 140 for a gun that doesn't work most of the time AND has unpredictable failure modes is utterly retarded and you are better getting a single shot you know is going to work and is going to have the exact same loading procedures every time. Or spend a little more like >>34788210 says

broken mag.jpg
29KB, 1024x683px
>>34787866
>ten million
>twenty
I'm trying to come up with just ten truly distinct ones, and drawing a blank.

--loaded spare mags have bulk/weight somewhat higher than the same amount of loose rounds
--loading rounds into a detached mag while also holding the gun can suck
--spare mags cost money
--detached mags aren't partially protected by the receiver
--detachable mags' point of attachment is likely to be more vulnerable to damage when the gun is dropped and lands on the mag
--detached mags can be lost, particularly with a habit of dropping them from the gun
--detaching and keeping a mag means putting something into a pocket/pouch, which can take a moment, especially without suitable gear
>>
>>34788210
Yeah, I know the Maverick is better. That's why I have one in my gun safe. But there are a lot of people for whom the $60 difference in price is non-trivial. Also, single-shot topper shotguns have kind of been drying up lately. The MP-18s and even the Hatfields seem to have more or less disappeared from shelves over the last few months. Yes, Henry just released one, and it's just as nice as you'd expect from Henry, but it's just as expensive as you'd expect from Henry, too. Other than that, options are pretty limited. I'm not sure why - maybe the cheap AR boom is sucking all the oxygen out of the lower end of the firearms market such that it's just not profitable to make many other poorfag guns these days. Either way, cheap shotguns seem to be going the way of cheap milsurps - slowly fading out of a firearms market that's changed tremendously over the last twenty years.
>>
>>34788346
you make me a slam bang gun then and ill pay you less than this sas12
>>
>>34788352
"Just make a slam bang gun" is literally the most retarded thing anyone ever says on /k/. And that would be true even if you fat spergs had the mechanical skill to put a gun that wouldn't blow your hand off in a workshop (which your mom's basement doesn't have anyway).
>>
>>34788323
Would an internal magazine designed for the gun theoretically be more reliable than after market ones or detachable ones with more variables? Most of the time feeding issues are from the magazine right?
>>
I own a Sas12, its my only gun
I roll around with only one shell in at a time. I don't use the magazine at all
the gun was worth it to me, i go shooting with it at the range
it got me into guns, i dont care if its more cumbersome it was cheap and there's nothing cheaper out there
>>
>>34788346

or you could be like every other non retarded poorfag and buy a maverick 88 or even a mossberg 500 and have something that won't shit itself when you need it the most.
>>
>>34789413
Comb gun shops, pawn shops, gunbroker armslist, gun shows fleamarkets anywhere that sells guns really.
It's all patience and persistence.
I'm not sure about your area but up here (PACNOR) guns are pretty pricy and I've still scored a lot of great deals through sheer persistance.
If you're in some even pricier market like AK or CA I don't know what to tell you
>>
>>34789413
Add maybe $20 and you can get a half decent Turkroach pump gun that'll hold twice the shells and be a hell of a lot more reliable. If you're quibbling over $20, you're not going to be able to afford to shoot the thing.

I live in FLORIDA
>>
>>34789488
Here's the fun part. Shipping is $15, and an FFL transfer is around $25 if you're lucky.

So with a $140 gun that leaves you with a $180 price tag all said and done, whereas a maverick 88 is $189 new plus like tax Making it about $200.

Not to mention you can get a used mossberg 500 or mav 88 for 180 or less all day long without tax.

whats ffl
How do i get a gun in my hands for cheap
does it have to be physical
im too scared
>>
>>34789638
FFL, as in, a gunshop. If you order a gun online it has to ship to a licensed dealer who can run a background check and transfer it to you. They charge a small fee for this.
>>
>>34789676
Stop spoon feeding him he is either retarded and never going to be anything much less have anything worth stealing or is baiting you.
>>
>>34789688
You started somewhere too, bitchboi.
>>
>>34789699
Yeah, Google and lurking instead of asking the same retarded questions over and over like some mongoliod. He doesn't even seem to read this thread, just keeps spouting his obviously wrong opinions about how useful this peice of shit is, doesn't know shotgun shells aren't free and for some reason can't understand what an FFL is because he lives in Florida, like that changes anything.
>>
>>34789736
I haven't mentioned this gun once
Why are you saying things I've never said

Low-effort B8, 'FL'-effete.

What?
>>

>>34789534
I have friends in FL and prices are regularly lower there than out west.
Seriously, nigga. Apply yourself.
A friend of mine got a mossman 500 for $90 and all he had to do was remove the hunting plug
>>
>>34789876
am i just supposed to walk to pawn shops? how do i know if gun is good?
>>
>>34789882
Yes, the bus exists too if you're tired of walking.
You inspect them, it's a fucking pump shotgun not a NASA spaceship. You'll notice if something feels wrong
>>
>>34789882
Just go to Cocoa and get Kel-Tec.

I've never held a gun in my life
won't i get laughed out of a pawn shop for being young
>>
>>34790000
they'll laugh at you and then threaten to call the cops if you don't get the fuck out, don't bother getting a gun period.
>>
>>34790000
>won't the shopkeeper run me out of his store because all small bussiness owners hate money
I would expect you to be more intimidated by a real gun store.
I know I was when I was in your shoes.
I was also a complete novice to guns but I lurked and studied until I felt like I knew what to look for.
A lot of it's pretty common sense, like a fucked feeling trigger or a pump that binds up.

If it was produced in the US yeah if you got the stamp for it but that thing would never be allowed to be imported because it doesn't have a "sporting purpose" according to the pup removal bureau.

It would legally be a "short barrel shotgun", which means paperwork, 200 dollars, and months of waiting.

But mechanically it'd be fucked because the piston (the shit that makes it semi auto) is below the barrel, inside the handguard.

Saiga 12 and related shotguns are much better suited to being modified to be super short.

I'm gonna pick up a used Hatsan Escort PS tomorrow. Gonna be interesting to see how reliable it is with different loads. Mostly gonna use it for hunting using slugs.
>>
forget that turkroach crap. haberer, uzkon and co. may look better than norinco. but on the inside its the same shit. had a kebap under and over, which allowed to fire even with safety on when the trigger was pulled. if you want something that gives a lot bang for the buck buy a baikal. ugly but rugged and: it works properly.

I have heard nothing but praise for shotguns made by Hatsan.

>had a kebap under and over, which allowed to fire even with safety on when the trigger was pulled

I guess all shotguns made in Italy are garbage because the original safety on the SPAS-12 is utterly unsafe.
