No, but it's pretty dull to shoot. It's just a small step above my 22cal pellet gun for excitement.
It's finally coming down in price, so maybe I'll shoot it more at some point in the future. But for now, I just jump up to centerfire rifles since I get a lot more fun from a 20-40c/r rifle round than all the 22 I can shoot for that amount of money. The one exception where I still use 22 is my pistol.

It could also be used for self-defense in a pinch, but that's only under the assumption that it's the best you have.

.22LR from a pistol length barrel is pretty weak, pray that you don't need to shoot, or if you do, that it has the desired effect.
.22LR from a rifle length barrel actually isn't shoddy, pray that your rifle doesn't jam; 10 to 25 rounds of .22LR from a rifle (like a 10/22) on a target actually is some pretty serious injury, even if the target is really high.

Now, plenty of people who have been shot with .22LR pistols have died, so don't underestimate it, it's more that .22LR generally sucks at killing immediately (at least from pistols), you can very well just bleed out in hospital waiting room some hours after being shot, even a little NAA Mini Revolver is no toy (though it could easily come in a box of cereal or crackerjacks with it's itty bitty size).

Don't bother with hollowpoints or other fancy stuff for a .22LR gun if you feel you have to use it to defend yourself, the projectiles are so small the expansion isn't worth thinking about for something that isn't a small animal, go for hot ball ammo, you want to get the most penetration you can, that's what .22LR can actually kind of do with a rifle barrel, also the higher velocity generally gives higher reliability in blowback actions.

I use it because I want any would be attacker to live to regret the day he fucked with me.
