stalling and recovering from a stall are two completely different things.

Most planes can easily recover from a stall, regardless of thrust.

Stall recovery has to do with airspeed and angle of attack. Without those you wont recover no matter how much thrust you have.

Many planes with close to and greater than 1:1 thrust to weight can not escape a stall even at full afterburner.

A wing does not work unless it has sufficient air moving over it at a sufficiently low angle of attack. Thrust does not fix this or change the underlying physics.

See, you're caught up with the basic idea of a stall; plane flies too slow, no airflow over wing, crashes. That's definitely a stall. The issue is that's just the type of stall most private general aviation aircraft are going to experience. In truth an airfoil can stall at any speed or angle of attack, it's all about airflow over the wing. Thrust vectoring and a high thrust to weight ratio are critical for -recovering- from a stall, but have much less to do with actually entering it. Thrust vectoring and thrust to weight ratio will help, you're right, but stalling an F22 is a real possibility.
