Well, I asked a couple of days ago about using some match 308 my dad had lying around for sighting in my new AR10 once the scope comes in.
Visited him and picked it up...here's the boxes. Is it anything special other than being kinda old?
>Shooting collectable ammo
Pls be b8
Collectable? Really? I thought all ammo was for shooting. Not B8.
Tbh OP, depending on the amount of boxes you have keep 2 around. One to have open and keep the best looking box up opened. Lake City Match has been drying up over the years so keep it around.

You're a fucking retard, you think match ammo from 1968 grows on trees? Use your brain you idiot
>>34772113
Nigga you can afford an AR10 and a scope and not brand new ammunition?
>>34772143
I've got around 10 boxes. So just put them on a shelf and buy some walmart 308 instead?
I mean, I know its kinda old, but there are people out there that buy old ammo just because its old?

>there are people out there that buy old ammo just because its old?
if it can be collected, there are collectors

Yes dude, once all the Match from 1968 is gone its fucking gone. That shits like 60 bucks a box. If you were really thinkin you would sell the boxes individually and keep one for yourself just to have.

People buy bottles, stamps, and dead people's clothes and pay hundreds or thousands for dollars you really don't believe it's the same with ammo?

I know, there's no 1968 wayback machine, but the rounds from then aren't any better than current, are they? Its just the oldness that they have going for them? I mean, how much is current match ammo running anyway?
>>34772215
Tbh Modern Match is probably better anyway. Just keep some boxes/sell some and give one back ti your dad.
