I love wood FAL furniture.

I don't mind the Ironwood stuff but some people really feel like the grain of American walnut unpleasant on something like an FAL. I'll admit it looks a bit out of place but I enjoy it

What do you guys recommend for an optic on an FAL?

I'm having difficulty finding anything that neither sits fuck stupid high nor weighs down the gun too much. Part of me secretly knows irons are the way to go, but if any of you /k/omrades know something I don't, I'm all ears.

Since there is no BRG thread, what's the difference between DSA regular FAL rifles vs Voyager series. I don't mean the obvious that's listed on their website/specs. Is there a difference in receiver strength or expected lifespan in the Type 3 vs Type 1/2, because aren't all their receivers cast and heat-treated the same (except for the forged L1A1)? Do they use the same parts except for the receiver? Is there a significant difference in build quality?

You can order from the company an stg58 with a forged receiver. The difference doesnt ever matter because to shoot the lifespan of the cast receiver you'd buy that rifle many times over in ammo cost. In that case you could also like I said just buy a forged receiver for close to the price of a crate of ammo. Its literally just a dick measuring contest.
