they're not that accurate, require a lot more velocity to effectively fragment and cause maximum damage. Heavier OTMs will fragment more reliably and carry weight farther. More expensive though but it's worth it. Turns your 55 grain pea shooter into a beast.

Why do you need 'armor piercing'? It only penetrates steel helms IIRC, not modern body armor.
