What if I want a modern .45 DA/SA pistol?

Why buy a Sig SP2022 when you can buy a P226 or even the memeish P320?
>>
>>34768907
It's cheaper
>>
>>34768865
I'm a Sig fag but I'm not going to sit here and claim Sig's polymer handguns are superior to HK. My P30 is better than my former P320. That being said my P229 is my main squeeze. Something about a P229 with E2 grips just gets me.

I'm a big fan of polymer hammer-fired pistols in general, whether it's a USP, P30, SP2022 or PX4. Why spend $300 more to get an HK? That's going to mostly come down to preference. HK's tend to have slightly better recoil management than Sigs. If you prefer a paddle mag release, then the HK wins by default. The USP can be carried cocked-and-locked. The Sig has an easier to reach slide release, but by extension, it's also easier to accidentally hold the slide release down while shooting, losing your last round hold-open.

In the long-term, the price difference is not that much. You are spending a little more than a case of ammo difference to get the USP. If you plan to shoot your gun a lot, that is not a lot.

Love my Mk25 with E2s, I will probably get a P229 Legion as my next gun.

>>
>>34768865
the 2022 was my first gun. I still love the thing.
>>
>>34768865
Some people (like myself) just like HKs.

I bet your Sig's a fine gun, but for a gun I truly want I'll spend a bit more.
>>
Since this thread is vaguely about HK's, I guess I'll ask here. Any of you own a P2000? What's the general concensus on them? Is it worth it at $550? I know almost nothing about them, but a few have popped up for sale.

>HK's tend to have slightly better recoil management than Sigs.
Gimmicky Bullshit and you know it

unless youre one of the faggots that puts a muzzle break on a 9
>>
>>34770625
Anything from the USP/P2000/P30 series is good to go
>>
>>34770662
Not him, but why are the P2000 so inexpensive? I'm eyeballing one myself because although I love my VP9, I want something a bit more compact for carry.
>>
>>34770655
I was shooting 124 grn winchester NATO today out of a P30L w/ TLR-1 a P2000SK a G17 gen 4 and a G19 gen 4, the HKs tend to feel a bit less sharp - is the perception a viable measure on reduce recoil impulse? Probably not as I can still split around .20 with them all with nato spec stuff, but does it FEEL a little better? Yes.
>>
>>34770691
Because that was a stop-gap generation of pistols with limited aftermarket support and model variety.
>>
>>34770710
Ah okay thanks.
>>
>>34770699
Yeah shooting my 1911 that's I've put work into to make more controllable doesn't even come close to how soft shooting my .45 USP, I was in love with it from the get go
>>
>>34770719
They are still bullet proof and serviced by HK no questions asked so don't let their limited "time in the lime light" turn you off to the series.

Fuck if they had an actual full size P2000 I might be hooked on the gens offerings.
>>
>>34770769
Oh I'm not worried about their quality. Trying to find a P2000sk around here through is a pain in the ass.

It this whole cracking in half at the grip shit from that beaner that flew off a ATV a meme then?
>>
>>34770889
Pretty much. A rare circumstance of a catastrophic failure, but every type of gun will have one.
>>
>>34770889
it's (((1)))) picture from the internet, of course it happened, but you can look up any gun and find catastrophic destruction

is P2000 comfy to carry vs say a PPQ?
>>
>>34771475
About glock 19 sized like the PPQ, hammer may or may not protrude depending on if you fuck with LEM or not.
>>
>>34768865
I like my Sp2022.
Though Honestly I wanna get rid of it and get a Gen1 P99 or hell, a SW 5906TSW
>>
>>34770384
Literally me
>>
>>34770691
Because CT's spawn with them by default and they don't really do all that great of a job defeating body armor so there's a lot of people looking to trade up.

Still better than the Glock though.

Yeah, it's pretty cushy. Looking to get the flat baseplates tho, these catch on tshirts when I cc.

Got mine for $500 brand new last Christmas. Accessories are limited, since redheaded step child and all.

If you're extra brave, I'm told that P30 barrels and slides both fit and fire on the P2000. Never tested it myself though, don't have the cash or the hands to spare. Magazines work fine between P models though. I just wish they'd make a magwell extension to fit P30 magazines a la jet funnel.
>>
>>34770341
I have a legion, it's damn nice. I'm considering putting E2's on it honestly
