If I'm missing any inherent advantages that .380 offers over any of the other popular calibers then please enlighten me but my understanding is that it doesn't offer any. That doesn't mean it won't kill someone but .22 also kills people as do hammers and knives. That doesn't mean you suggest a hammer or knife for self defense so I think that is a poor argument
