Is camo mixing okay?
No.
>>34763721
Sometimes.
>>34763721
It's just like race mixing.
If you do it you hang from a lamppost
I mix my m90 with my fudd shit :^)
>>34764380
That actually sounds p. cool.

So I had a pretty neat couple days of surp acquiring. Got a question about a field jacket though... on the Greek surplus lizard jackets, are the sleeves supposed to be super baggy in comparison to the rest of it? Like, the fit in the body is fine and all, but the sleeves are huge. Is this normal Greekshit? Will post a pic shortly
>>34765643
The sleeves on this thing... I can't even g e a good enough picture to show how big they are compared to my arm
Also, I'll dump some pics of the couple things I've picked up in the past couple days
>>34765643
>>34765959
Nothing out of the ordinary.
Baggy sleeves are very easy to roll up, which is a useful feature to have in a warm place like Greece.
Also, pretty much all field uniforms are cut to accommodate as many body types as possible (which essentially means that the legs and sleeves are made as roomy as possible).
>>34765959
Here's the whole jacket. Got this and an East German summer jacket in the mail today.
>>34766071
That makes sense
>>34766211
The tag. Ripstop jackets from 2004, pretty neat I suppose
>>34766229
The East German summer jacket. Has an odd feature on the inside in curious about though, maybe you guys can tell me what it is...
>>34766253
The thing I'm curious about right here...
>>34766261
Also picked this Portuguese lizard camo up yesterday in a small gun shop for $5. And this is where I end my shitspamming
>>34766261
It's a Makarov holster.
There are some other Eastern Bloc field jackets that have similar built-in holsters.
Camo mixing is top tier
>>34766261
Makarov holster as the other anon said. Although I usually use it to hold my phone. You can get to the pocket through a hole between a couple of buttons
>>34766281
>>34766320
Oh shit, I couldn't figure out where the opening was and now that I saw these and found the opening to the holster it makes so much sense now. Thanks gents. Also, I got the jacket for $9, good deal?
Sure.

I searched around a bit on a few different sites and settled for a couple cool things that were relatively cheap. If you're a tiny fellow and from the land of stars and stripes, I might have something I'd sell off to a kommandopal

>>34767187

>>34767203
M/75 Trousers. Biggest fuck up, bought this in store and didn't see the damage. I'll buy some more in the future. Anyone know how to fix the damage?
>>34767254
>>34767194
Bought these in Norway for about 1250 krone (about $150?). Considering that they're extremely rare and were well kept (except for the M/75 trousers), I couldn't pass up on it.
>>34767282
That seems a little on the expensive side considering the condition of the trousers. The badges are definitely a plus though.
>>34767364
The trousers were 400 krone, so I'm pissed at myself that I didn't notice the damage. I guess I can make them work pants or I can be rougher with them in the outdoors.
okay /k/ were do you get your surplus?
Im looking for websites.
Specifically im looking for clothing (not necessarily surplus) that has a more anachronistic pseudo english cut. More sort of WW1 era.
like this.

>>34766459
Pretty decent. I think I got mine for 12 dollars shipped (almost half of that was shipping though). The makarov holster is probably my favorite feature. Perfect for holding a phone or small wallet.
>>34765575
>>34767962
Yeah, now that I know it's a holster, that makes the jacket all the sweeter. Wish I had a Mak to put in there, but it fits my snubby 38 pretty well... or my phone
>>34768565
>>34766872
It's nice of you to offer, but I'm closer to tthe large size. 6ft and around 190.
I've also just discovered my life isn't complete without some British DPM.
>>34763721
When I was a senior in high school in 2013 I used to wear during the fall and milder winter days a Swiss alpenfalage m70 jacket and Belgium m90 pants and a Finnish m65 hat just for the shits and giggles, I found met this guy at a surplus store that year while wearing that outfit, he showed me /k/ and I never looked back. I did get lots of strange looks and comments about it but I didn't care, the colors aren't that far apart between the m70 and m90
>>34770368
Damn I should have proof-read that abomination
So how autsy is wearing this kind if stuff in public, I live in Alabama so fudd camo is everywhere but I have a flektarn hat and parka that I've been scared the wear because it's not effay
And now I really really want to cop this alpenflage jacket but I don't know if I have the balls to wear it ever
>>34770472
Partially depends on the rest of the outfit...
paired with tactical pants and a rakish beret?
or something granola?
>>34770472
Its pretty cool, but quite a lot of pockets makes you look fat. Buy large, sleeves are short. Im getting a second one soon to winterize. Im going to line it with thinsulate and line the hood with raccoon fur
>>34767159

4th Reich Soon, dust these off
>>34769977
No worries man, and DPM is great, I picked up a windproof smock a little while back, best $15 I've ever spent.
>>34770526
>>34770586
Alright, I'll have to test the flek around to see how many looks I get
Is there a specific liner I should look for for the alpenflage or will the polartec or another generic liner work okay?
Thoughts on kommando store?
thinking about buying a pair of boots and a waterproof arcteryx-esque jacket

How to restore the leather on old Kirza Sapogi? The boots I bought happen to be creased and dry.
I asked the seller, and they said use vegetable oil. I've seen a video on restoring boots, but that was all Juft boots, not Kirza. I have tried applying a bit of oil, but I'm not seeing any improvement.

Real leather care for some reason is really neglected here in this country and we don't seem to have any of those products.

I bought a Czech m52 helmet, wore it for like 30 minutes right out of the box, and after sitting it on a shelf noticed a tiny white worm fall out, it was about 1mm thick and 7mm long, I also noticed some tiny transparent flakes with black spots on them in the bag the helmet came in, seemingly from the worm(s), am I infested with hair bugs now?
I went and washed my hair multiple times, is that enough to be sure any that were in my hair are dead?
Pic related, the helmet, how do I remove the liner to clean it out?
it even a Czech helmet? I know this stuff gets mislabeled sometimes.
>>34787574
The stuff is stripped of all it's original military markings. The only thing left is the size indications, which are still Swedish.
Looks like I'll be back in the States in a few weeks. Anybody found anything good the last couple months?
>>34803812 un issued pair of jungle boots and an M42 helmet
anyone have tips for washing camo?
i just got a chest rig base in classic WOODLAND that needs some help

What do you guys think of pic related? Is it worth adding to my collection as part of my SHTF gear? Also what camo would be best to get it in? They are russian so theres all the standard russian camos but there are also just plain green mesh ones that might work well with a multitude of camo.
Lastly, what should I have as part of my SHTF stuff? I have a digital forest camo set and some tan combat boots currently. How do I choose what camo and colored gear to get? I live in SoCal, but theres lots of different environments here so im not sure what to get.

>>34807046
Nah theres not much out here. I managed to get a couple hats and helmet covers but thats about it. It's way easier to get korean uniforms in the US than out here.
I cant wait to get home and rob the east coast of everything its gathered in the last 6 months.

Any leads on other manufacturers than Varusteleka doing M05 gear? Crye? Arktis?
>>34808361
Crye does a lot of custom work for small units, so they'd be happy to whip up some M05 kit if you threw enough money at them.
>that Norwegian surplus AG-3F2
Look like someone's been on a joint exercise in Estonia
>>34805190
Choose according to where you live and what colors are the most prominent throughout the seasons and proceed accordingly. Should you? Idk. Maybe? That's up to you. Concerning what you "should" have, only you know that. Only you know your environment, what gear you do/don't have, what your limitations are. But what I think you should have is a gun, a sidearm, some shoes that you wont destroy your fucking feet if you wear them for the rest of your life, ear pro, ballistic pro and clothing. Anything else is just filler. Concerning that item, get a solid color which fits your environment, if not, just get solid green.
>>34808361
ask custom reproers to make you some clothing in m05, i think roman might have some
>>34770472
Mine just came in the mail today. Very nice jacket. Definitely a heavy fall/winter coat for me (Pacific Northwest) and it came with a matching little backpack. I think it looks great. Many nice accessories too like a face mask in the hood. Lots and lots of pockets. Like more pockets than the average man should need.
>>34772078
Wouldn't recommend. The service is sub par and when i ordered something their system was messed up and I didn't end up getting my fleck for like a month after it was supposed to come. I got what I paid for, but certainly not in the time frame I see as acceptable especially considering I had to contact Ivan just to get my order through.
Wonder if alpen has enough kit to fill the pockets on his uniform
does anyone have experience with trident's rhodie repros?
