Your daily reminder that if you don't own at least one revolver you are literally a huge faggot.
>>34760292
Yeah yeah, but which one would be a good first one? There's just too many good ones to narrow down to a first purchase.
>>34760354
Depends on your wants and needs nigga. That's like asking which woman to invest your entire night into
>>34760354
What do you want?
Is the Manurhin MR73 good or not? Anywhere I look people say they are.
>>34760871
>Is the highest quality and most durable revolver in the world good?
>>34760292
I shot my 1861 Colt Army today by fanning it for the first time, and it didn't jam.
It was a good feel.
>>34760871
It mostly has that reputation because it is hard to find.
>>34760871
It's the best revolver money can buy. But... can you afford it? That's something else altogether.
Most people can but is it worth paying that much for a revolver? That's for you to decide.
On the other hand. Though I wont debate they're the best by a long shot, Ruger makes some pretty strong revolvers for 500 to 600 bucks. The GP100 is solid and built like a tank.
Smith and Wesson quality control is down the shitter. (Rugers catching up though lol)
I bought a S&W 627 Performance Center. Haven't even shot it and its Rusting everywhere. Came with machining/tool marks...
I'm only going to buy quality Euro guns from now on. Or custom build my own.

>I bought a S&W 627 Performance Center. Haven't even shot it and its Rusting everywhere. Came with machining/tool marks...
Proofs.
>>34760354
Can't go wrong with a GP100
I own 2 and a shotgun I win
Thinking about getting a police trade in SW Model 10 or Model 64, anyone have any experience with these?
>>34760292
Muh unfired agent 38.
Was my dad's safe queen, now mine.
>>34762093
See if you can find an older one, pre hillary hole. They are great guns.
>>34760292
I can't legally buy a revolver just yet. I'm thinking of begging my father to buy me one for christmas, but I don't like to rely on others for gun purchases.
>tfw 19
>>34762353
Private sale. I bought plenty of handguns before I was 21.
>>34762093
Good guns
>>34762381
I've tried, every private sale that has interested me requires either 21, an FFL (21), or a CHL. If something pops up that interests me I'll do it, otherwise I'm shit out of luck unless my father decides to be a nice dude.
>>34762340
Nope. Never heard of them.
So I got a ruger super redhawk in 44 magnum with a 7 1/2 inch barrel. Did I fuck up by not getting it in 454 casull?
>>34760292
3" barrel, .32 black powder., small, concealable, 5 shot, safety hammer, sa/da.
A pre-1900 one is not considered "a firearm".
>>34760354
You want a .357 Magnum revolver that can hold at least six shots and that has a barrel of at least 3'', preferably 4'' to 6'' depending on intended use. Good choices include:
Smith and Wesson 686 or 686+
Smith and Wesson Model 27/28
Ruger GP100
Ruger Security Six
Colt Trooper
If you're a trust fund kiddie, you can also look into getting a Colt Python (you want a 1950s or 60s production Python if you have a choice), a Korth, or a Manurhin MR73. Any of these will run you several thousand dollars minimum.
>>34762381
Yeah and then he's fucked on ammo
A huge faggot is just an average size cigar, which i'd much rather be than a tiny faggot.
You tiny faggot.
Revolvers were obsolite the second the 1911 was mass produced. The 1911 was obsolite the second the Glock was imported to the US and became widly avalable. Every major handgun manufacturer in the US now makes a glock. Hammers and safteys are so 1970.
>>34760379
>That's like asking which woman to invest your entire night into
The first one that says yes?
>>34762836
>A huge faggot is just an average size cigar
You're a half smoked panatela maduro at best
>>34762828
Im 19 and have a 1911, i just bought some ammo at wal-mart a few days ago. Just tell them it's for a rifle and youre good, it only works with some handgun ammo, I tried to buy some 9mm but I had to be 21, the register wouldnt allow them to sell it to me.
>>34760292
Just bought my first wheel gun, a 6" python. Should be here next week.
>>34760871
Yes.
>>34761793
Disregard this poorfag, he's obviously never handled a Manurhin.
>>34760354
That's the tough part. Instinct tells me to go with a modern design 4 or 5 inch barrel. But I can't help but like the old detective and police revolvers.
>>34760388
The one without a Hillary Hole!
686-4 Plus
Belonged to my LT for years before I traded up for it.
