Looking for a new sidearm purchase and out of nowhere I suddenly like Glocks. Glock 22s are pretty cheap ~$300. Is there any downside here?
honestly? no.
.40 is a favorite caliber of mine

No more than choosing 9mm or 45. Everything has minor tradeoffs.

This will be my first side arm thats not a revolver or slav-tier
To my understanding the only real difference is capacity vs stopping power. I figure a .40 is a nice compromise

Price is also a factor, 9mm will be cheaper to buy, 40 in between 9 and .45.

Only downside is magpul doesn't make 40 cal mags for Glocks yet
CA-fag here.
Because of gun restrictions, and mag limits, I tested out a CZ75 in a range with .40 and it was great.

Oh fug I love magpul. Hope they hurry
.40 might be a little outdated because of some of the recent 9mm defensive loads, but it's still a fine catridge that gets the job done quite well. Pic related.
Go for it.
