More than likely be issues from the 22lr rims

They tried a 5.56 variant of the minigun back in the day, no one showed any interest. Didn't have enough range for its main intended purposes on aircraft.

Tippmann (the paintball gun company) used to be the one to do this.

As soon as the 86 machine gun ban passed the company found itself in trouble, given that it manufactured scaled down .22lr machine gun replicas, primarily targeted at the collectors market. Almost immediately they branched into paintball markers, in order to not go under.
