Generally yes but replace after it takes even one. Distance velocity caliber and countless other factors will determine how much a plate can absorb but it will stop high velocity shit that steel cannot

Steel + kevlar starts to edge price towards stand alone plates. Do some window shopping and research or just buy the fucking steel and be done with it just remember any long action rifle with copper solids can penetrate

Anybody have a recommendation for a cheap IIIa soft vest tested to NIJ 101.06?
I looked at Bulletsafe, but they only test to the old (obsolete) 101.04 standard, and Safelife, but I haven't seen any credible reviews for them.
Everything else is either $$$, or used/refurbished.
