Is there a magazine that can reliably feed 300 blackout 230 grain or 247 grain and also longer bullets like Lehigh defense close quarters? Seems there are issues with followers and ribs inside the magazine and also the springs aren't strong enough to lift the heavier bullets.

I've heard these aren't much of an improvement and that longer rounds still get caught up like NOEs 247 grain. And what about the spring? If it's the same then you'd still have feeding issues with the heavier rounds.

Where'd you hear this?

Fucking genius

Still doesnt solve the problem of weak springs meant for 62 grains vs 230 grains.

I just got several of these this afternoon

Lancers feed the 208gr AMAX just fine. I regularly use 20 and 30 round magazines without issue.
would it be possible to use ak magazine springs in an ar15 magazine?
>>34747902
whats wrong with it? same case as 223, so just about the easiest case to get. most guns that can shoot 223 can be converted, so a huge range of guns can shoot this.
i mean seriously, its fine

Pmags fit and feed 220g SMKs just fine for me, if you are loading long then cut the front or use metal mags. If you want more spring pressure grab some Wolff XP springs.
If standard mags didnt work with 300blk then it would have been stuck in 6.5 Grendel and 6.8SPC purgatory.

The real question here is why you want to shoot 247s anyway
>>34749018
Only thing wrong with it are people that have no use for it calling it a meme despite is being in use for a decade, with the prices dropping and acceptance growing. They don't use it, so it's a meme no matter it's merits

I want to shoot 230(the lee mold) though I've read about accuracy issues with them so I might go with the noe 247.
Simple, cast bullets are extremely cheap and I want sub sonics.
>>34749036
*reliably* and most don't shoot long thick and heavy projectiles and most certainly don't reload.
I need it to feed the noe 247 grain or the lee 230 grain reliably.
5 percent Extra won't do much.
Would ak 47 springs work?

Everyone wants to go subsonic at some point, but you don't even need to go that heavy
>>34751474
Why wouldn't I use a heavier bullet at the same velocity?
>>34751518
Because you're clearly worried about function, which is paramount. If you were worried about effect on live targets, the 180-220 range has been pretty well tested for expansion a day penetration.

Yes and I'm trying to figure out a way to make them fictional such as using an ak47 magazine spring in an ar mag.
