Yeah, my brother and I own a piece of property with a house trailer on it. My uncle is currently living there. I've been considering moving a couple guns and some ammo out there but I just have not done it yet. It's not much but it's enough to hunt on and it's the last sliver of land that belonged to my grandfather.

I LOVE MY HI POWER

It's such a nice gun to shoot, it's super sleek, it has little felt recoil because of it's weight, it's historically interesting, it's just so wonderful

They are. What I meant is that they've stopped bringing over all the rifles people want, and instead are only bringing in the 107r, which seems to be a mix of different models parts, which is why they have the 90 degree gas block instead of a normal AKM gas block.

If you were charging $1050 for it with one Circle 10 mag then obviously that wouldn't be an issue but the fact that your default is

You can pick one up "new" for less than he's charging straight from KVAR, and it comes with the circle 10 mag! Of course after shipping it would come out about the same but we're talking $40-45 for the magazine alone. It's just stupid. He wants to keep the mags because they're pretty much the only 5.56 AK mags, that fit in his SLR-106cr, which are decent but there's nothing stopping him from just buying a bunch of new ones for the same difference in price that he's Jewing someone out of what originally came with the rifle.

Hornady makes the bullets already, it's just a matter of getting cases. Contrary to what some guy on here keeps parroting about PPU telling us to fuck off, PPU can and is willing to make 5.45 brass, they just need significant investment to make it worth their while, and that investment isn't going to happen as long as Russia is pumping ammo into the country at 23 cpr or less.

Honestly, if ammo gets banned and Hornady doesn't put the order in for brass cases, Academy Sports and Outdoors probably will for factory loads. They've already got a lot of contracts with PPU to provide brass cased ammo rebranded as Monarch, and given that they're the only chain in the entire US aside from Cabela's that stocks 5.45 as a regular item even as 5.45 factory guns have slowly disappeared entirely, it's not exactly a stretch for them to switch over to brass to keep that caliber stocked.
>>
>>34749279
You're too optimistic. It requires a lot of machinery to make ammo, and American manufacturers are not going to make an investment like that in 5,45 as the market won't be big enough to justify it.

>Probably some Jewry at work. I'll give this set a week.
It's just like when a doc prescribes one drug over another. I have a pediatrician as a kid (obviously) that prescribed me both Singular AND Advair for my "asthma" without even doing any tests on me and I'm 99% sure they both fucked me up and stunted my puberty.

Goddamn. I don't want full socialism but there needs to be some reform on how Drs can prescribe shit. I think the opiate epidemic is a good example of that.

That's 5'7 1/2" to you, lanklet! But seriously, I was pretty average height for a 14 year old guy and then when I started taking that shit I pretty much stopped growing. My father was 6'0" and my mom was 5'7".

The Rakurs' eyebox and relief is honestly pretty great, much better than I was expecting. It has a teeny tiny amount of negative zoom, like 0.95x if even that much. Not enough to really be distracting but enough that when you're shooting with both eyes open it can be a little goofy when you're shooting close up (once you're out past maybe 25 yards with both eyes open it isn't bad, just up close when you have two eyes telling you slightly different things). The triangle is pretty crisp, my only complaint about the reticle is that when the tritium kicks in it's ever so slightly below the normal reticle, you kind of have to tilt your head down like one degree for it to be in the center of the glass (if you don't care about it being in the center of the glass it still shows up just a little bit below where you'd expect the reticle to already be). I like it enough that I'm genuinely considering picking up a Weaver version of it for my non-AKs and eventual AUG

I'll try and take some pics through the reticle to show the zoom, but it might be too dark

I like the Obzor better but I still like the Rakurs a lot

I was on all that shit too, I'm 5'7". It's genetics though; my dad is 5'6" and my mom was 5'4".

Well luck you. For me a factor was probably the fact that the house I was living/grew up in also had black mold. Genetically I should have been fine is my point. I was also a bit of a preemie. Could have been worse though. If I was like 5'2" or something I'd probably just kill myself or become a trap ;-;

>>34750454
I think I'm sold then, the negative zoom isn't a huge deal for me, same with the tritium. Is the tritium illumination daylight bright, and does it bloom a lot?

I found a video on youtube of it, don't worry about taking any pics, cheers though. Eye relief looks impressive. I too have an aug, it seems like it would be great, even if I didn't have the long rail.

my aimpoint PRO is a lot worse

good rule of thumb is to use the minimum brightness necessary for contrast. keeps the dot small and bloom low

Too late, I already made this by the time I saw this, excuse the dead af grass

The tritium illumination is not daylight bright, it only shows up when it's darker. I couldn't get it to show on camera but it was wanting to peek out taking these pics. It pops right up though, right when you cover up the front of the optic with your hand its instantly up, and it doesn't bloom at all it's just the same exact reticle just green

I'm just a big fan of not needing batteries, and after the tritium dies in 10 years I'll just buy another. I still want an MRO for my future AUG but a Weaver Rakurs is something I'd also love to pick up for it, never thought I'd ever see the day where I'd actually want a Weaver rail Slav optic until I got the Rakurs

When you've got both eyes open it is noticeable but like I said when you go out past a certain distance it stops being weird on your eyes. If it ever gets too noticeable just close one eye and it's gone

You can kinda see it in the pic if you look at the tree trunk through the optic and then follow it up and out above the optic, they don't line up quite right

Rakurs P for $400 which has a mount that sets the optic back towards the shooter and up a little bit, Rakurs PM for $430 which is just the optic with a Weaver rail mount underneath it kinda like a micro red dot, and Rakurs PM1 for $460 which is the same as the Rakurs PM but with an adjustable diopter

Thinking about it with your AUG's short rail the Rakurs P mount might be right up your alley if you're worried about it sitting too far forward. I don't know how well the mount works though so i can't comment on that, but if you don't want this mount the other two have a little mount directly underneath the optic

I have an opportunity to buy a Norinco sks for like $125 from a friend of mine who is getting rid of it.
