Is there a clp that doesnt run out of the back of the weapon after a week and leaves everything dry?
>>
>>34732711
Wheel bearing grease. It's cheap, abundant, stays where you put it, and withstands high temperatures.
>>
>>34732733
So when it gets dirty it will be the equivalent of taking a shit inside your gun.
>>
Slip 2000.
>>
>>34732711
related question. Which is the better lube, corrosion x or Eezox?
>>
>>34732711
Eezox. That shit is dry as baby powder.
>>
>>34732995
This. It's a little pricey, but I've used it for my guns and knives for years and it's the best thing that I've found.
>>
>>34732863
but does that really happen?

Not what I asked. I know they are great anti corrosion but I want the one that works best as lube.
>>
>>34733015
Yes. Any kind of gun oil/grease will attract dirt and debris to some degree. That's why you should use the lightest coat possible that will still get the job done.
>>
>>34733031
But thats not the same thing. If both lube AND grease attract dust, why not use grease because it stays where you want and the lubricating properties aren't then pointless.
>>
>>34732711
/diy/ here, white lithium grease. Graphite makes a good dry gun lube
>>
>>34733031

That's a fact.

I'll add that it helps to READ the fucking instructions.

Don't dump the weapon in a bucket of Rotella -T, and then cry about it getting messy.
>>
>>34733009
>This. It's a little pricey

This isn't really a concern. The 4 oz bottle is $15 and it will last you for 1-2 years, that is a trivial amount of money for an otherwise quality product. I think amazon still has the 4 oz bottle for $10?

I've had the same 6oz Ballistol can for 3 years and I shoot a lot. Ballistol is also great but I think Slip 2000 is the superior product along with the fact that it doesn't stink like shit, unlike Ballistol.

OP, don't try to read too much into lubes, stick with Slip 2000 and be done with it. You don't even have to clean your guns as much as people would try to lead you to believe.

>ITT: people using penetrating oils and cleaning solvent as "i'm about to go to the range and shoot this gun" lubriction

even CLP is trash at letting your weapon run smoothly and it mostly for cleaning and preventing the need to clean dry carbon out later

pic related for actually shooting your firearm and noticeably smoothing out the action. $8-10 for this can
>>

What do you think the L in CLP stands for?

TW25B

ELEPHANT SPERM

I like slip2k, they also make some thicker stuff now but I use the regular ewl. I like that it works for lubing it and its nontoxic.
>>
>>34733146
>all lubricants lubricate the same
Okay, thanks for your advice! Why don't you put some eezox on your dick and fuck your boyfriend's ass?

I tend to use a 4 oz bottle in about 7-9 months, between 18 guns and roughly 30 knives/multitools.
>>
>>34732863
Any lubricant is going to get dirty. You just clean it.
>>
lubrication in guns are pretty much a meme anyways.

use it for cleaning, corrosion protection and to prevent shit and carbon from sticking to contact surfaces
>>
I like slip2000 but it's a bit odd. It fucking runs everywhere, but the original spot stays wet. It's like it magically produces more of itself.
>>
>>34732711
Hornday oneshot extreme hd
It'a basically like wd40 plus silicone and teflon.
>>
>>34732711
Ultrasonic cleaner + slip2000 products is all I need. the rest is trash. Clean my guns in under an hour as I watch a movie,.
>>
>>34733319
Even then, that's not a whole lot. That's just under $14 a year. You spend more money on a single trip to the gas station and that is a fuckload of guns and knives.
>>
>>34733129
Didnt they develop that just for the m16 when they had all those problems? Another note is that stuff is so old that it probably is a solidby now.
>>
>>34732711
do you drench your guns? get G96 or boeshield t-9
>>
>>34733523
The can I have was made in the early 90's and works flawlessly. It's still used today for machine guns, and it's definitely not just for M16's. Stuff works magnificently, but you have to shake it thoroughly before use
>>
I use weapon shield as it is a good CLP. The only oil I've used that wasn't runny was the lucas gun oil but it had this engine oil smell mixed with grape that gave me a headache.

Slip2000 and weapon shield are non-toxic. Weapon shield has a mild cinnamon smell while slip2000 has no odor. But are a bit runny but I'd rather deal with that then looking into grease or having foul-smelling lubes that may be carcinogenic.
>>
>>34733565
Teflon is one of the ingredients I assume?
>>
>>34734044
+1 for the Weapon Shield products (solvent, CLP, and grease). I use Ballistol on the exterior of my guns.
>>
>>34734159
Does WS stay where you put it?
>>
>>34733305
I already masturbated with Ballistol nothing wrong with that.
>>
>>34734171
Yeah. I shot 400 rounds through my Dan Wesson 1911 (very tight slide to frame fit), and the WS was still on the rails and other wear points.
>>
>>34732711
Bore scrubber and mpro7 have never done me wrong.
>>
Organic extra virgin coconut oil.
>>
>>34733268
This

If it's good enough for the M61A1 it's good enough for my guns. I miss being able to snag 3-4mL from work when needed
