Any ideas where I could get an authentic Luger p08 online? I can only find shady auction sites, and I'd prefer to have a set price.

What do you mean by "authentic"? The vast majority of Lugers on the market are originals.

A lot of one I've seen are newer reproductions of Lugers. As I said, shady sites, so it's good to know that it will be easier than previously thought to get an original.
You're welcome

Look for Erma Werke Lugers, those were the real Lugers used by Germany during WW1 and 2. Look especially for the .32 acp versions, those were used by Nazi officers and are highly prized on the collectors market.

>lots of fake lugers
>"shady auction sites"
This feels like bait, or at least rank ignorance.

In my case it's the latter.

How can you tell they're reproductions? There are so few reproductions on the market because the Luger is wholly uneconomical to reproduce due to the complex machining. I suspect you're just looking at rather pristine condition originals and assuming they're repros because they look too good.

The simpson ltd one above is about as legit as a person could want. Gunbroker would do you fine, too, but you'd need to really understand what you're looking for.

Mitchel Arms started building stainless versions of them in 2001 and then stoeger picked it up with their american eagle line in like 2003.
