What are the best online resources for buying ammo?
>>
gunbot and ammoseek

wow what a useful thread
>>
>>34722747
To find the best deals I like gun-deals because it has a shipping estimator. Some people prefer gunbot or ammoseek.

As far as prefered retailers go, I usually bought from SGammo, AIMSurplus and Southern Ohio Gun back when I would buy bulk ammo.
>>
>>34722747
wikiarms, gunbot, and ammoseek are good search engines

SGAmmo and Target Sports USA are two retailers I can recommend for good prices.
>>
>>34722786
>>34723150
Thoughts about Midway?
>>
>>34723173
Perfectly fine, prices may vary

The only place I don't recommend is CheaperThanDirt, not because they have poor service, selection or prices; but because they were the first to start price gouging after Sandy Hook. They lost my business for life.

probably one of the most expensive mainstream retailers out there. Almost never free shipping...

I personally am a fan of Brownells, Sportsman's guide (for normie ammo), SGammo, and luckygunner.
>>
>>34722747
Sportsmans guide is good because while they don't have the best prices you can get free shipping on anything with the code BRADSHIP
>>
>>34723173
I want to recommend them but since I'm from Missouri I get hit with both shipping and sales tax.

>>34722786
>>34723150
PSA has good deals from time to time. Bought 1000 rounds of 5.7x28 for about $360 with free shipping a while back.

>>34723191
Same here with Cheaper Than Dirt. Fuck 'em.
>>
>>34723173

somewhat expensive, but a greater variety especially of hunting ammo. It is only really worth it if you are also ordering a shitload of other non ammo related stuff as well.

One trick for cheaper shipping is to add a free shipping item to the cart first, then ammo adds a dollar or two shipping.

sgammo is best bet for bulk ammo of common calibers
>>
>>34723211
>PSA
enjoy your credit card fraud
>>
>>34723199
big +1 for sportsmans guide. they have some of the best prices on certain ammo, like 9mm, steel 308, 223, and 7.62x39 (maybe others, these are just the ones i buy).
and they changed their thing- its now free shipping on orders $50+ (w/ membership i think). the membership is worth it for the shipping.
>>
>>34723173
Their prices are often too high for more than the occasional ammo purchase, okay for gun parts (you can find same quality cheaper by shopping around), often one of the cheaper options for reloading components. I like their tactical pants for lounging around the house or doing any kind of house or yard work.

Some /k/ommandos will absolutely rail against them since they tried to jew them and Midway wouldn't let them get away with it.

>>34723191
Third the fuck Cheaper than dirt
>>
>>34723221
Neat. Good thing I have Capital One.

>what's in your wallet?
>>
>>34723173
A decent choice for specialty loads, defensive laods and hard to find match shit.
For crates/bulk ammo avoid except when they have specials and sales
>>
>>34723211
>PSA has good deals from time to time
They might, but not on the weird shit I used to buy. They only really carry mainstream stuff.

I have also heard mixed things about their customer service and credit card habits.
>>
>1 (one) round of .308 costs the equivalent of $2.50USD in my country
>with my entire paycheck i could maybe buy 7-8 boxes
>140 round for an entire month's work
end me now
>>
>>34723245
How available is reloading equipment and components in your country? That might be your only route for cheap ammo.
>>
>>34723263
not an option right now
and i don't think the (((government))) would appreciate me setting up a "clandestine munitions factory" in my home
>>
Someone at the range was talking to me about like 115 grain 5.56 from SG, but I didn't see it anywhere. Did lead me to read some stuff that made me want to pick up some high 70's grain soft point tough. Was he off his rocker or is there really 100+ soft point 556 somewhere?
>>
>>34723295
The heaviest production .224 cal bullets I know of are 90gr and not meant for .223 rem. I think he may have been talking about 9mm which 115gr is really common bullet weight.
>>
>>34723337
Maybe his ar was chambered for that, seems silly though. He definitely made it seem like he was talking about 556 and said that's what he was currently shooting. I didn't ask to see any of his ammo.
>>
>>34723345
could also be 300 blackout
>>
>>34723221
I have USAA and its not my money, its the banks. Hence the word "credit" you turbofag.
>>
>>34723224
>tried to jew them and Midway wouldn't let them get away with it.
lol I remember that, I get it that they're bummed they couldn't get your ammo for a steal, but people honestly thought that midway would just not notice the loophole and let tens of thousands of rounds of ammo walk out the door at their expense. Get real.
>>
>>34722786
>>34723150
>>34723194
>>34723213

SGammo has the best prices on bulk ammo 99% of the time. Often enough that I normally order from them even if gundeals or ammoengine show something better, really just to get everything shipped from one place.

Eagle Eye Guns is also a pretty good source of harder to find defensive ammo like TAP T2, mk262 clones, Ranger Ts, etc.
>>
>>34723337
I've seen .223 up to 110 gr before, but those were too long to fit in an AR mag and were specifically for bolt guns (or single loaded into the chamber of an AR)
>>
>>34723245
>only making $350-400 a month
Try working more than 10 hours a week?
>>
>>34723236
>>34723221
Every time PSA is mentioned everyone freaks out over the CC rumors. I have ordered from them for years without issue, use privacy.com if you want to be safe but I really think this is just an old rumor that is constantly perpetuated without any actual recent instances of fraud. Who knows maybe I'm just lucky, but again if you want to take the possibility out of the equation just generate a one time CC on privacy.com and call it a day, they do have some sweet deals here and there.

SGammo is a company I've gone through since I began shooting. I tend to stick to one company regardless of price because I like to support good people.
>>
>>34723800
malaysian in a can from aim?
>>
>>34723816
I buy from SGammo occasionally. Not because any of those dumb reasons but because they have flat rate shipping and good deals on the semi-obscure ammo I need. The flat rate shipping is a killer deal if you're buying shotshells since they get real heavy, real fast.
>>
>>34723870

yeah, and it's berdan primed so it's probably going to shit all over the inside of my FAL but I don't care
>>
>>34723800
Tulammo 308 is still cheaper after shipping. But that's pretty great for anything brass cased, especially if that's after shipping.
>>
>>34723173
hit or miss on pricing, but expedited service.
>>34723194
>I personally am a fan of Brownells.
same same.
order sunday night, delivered wednesday afternoon.
>>
>>34723191
There's literally nothing wrong with price gouging. It's basic economics. Without it, the ammo shortages would have been even worse.
The real scummy thing CTD did was cancelling orders and relisting for higher prices.
>>
>>34723150
I also recommend Target sports, I only order in bulk so the free shipping is amazing
>>
>>34723920
There's a difference between adjusting prices to correlate with demand and cost, and shameless gouging in the wake of a panic
>>
>>34723997
If they're gouging over market price then they're just screwing themselves out of market share.

it was during the panic, which is what everyone is talking about. CTD raises prices dramatically during any kind of panic.
it was funnier when they still had the percentage on the description and it would be negative

Seems like they have either the best price, or tie for the best price every time I order.

They are also reliable. I ordered 1000 rounds of huehuehue m193 late Sunday night and the case will arrive tomorrow, which is their normal shipping time to me (I always order on Sundays for some reason).

They also consistently have good prices and selection on LE packaged HST. This is really nice because it's so much easier to do defensive ammo test runs when the ammo is 40 cents a round instead of a 1.00+ per round. Much easier to have price of mind in my various carry guns with that cheap, always available hst.
>>
>>34723679

He's not in the u.s. you stupid fuck. there's places you can work 200 hours a month, not even make 500.
>>
I buy bulk 9mm from lax ammo (factory new) for 18 cpr shipped. Is there any website that's regularly cheaper than that?
>>
>>34725743
Not that I have seen. I have not bought from them yet but how is that stuff? Do they offer subsonic ?

You can get aguila for 19 cents a round, barely more expensive for a more reputable brand
