My dad carried an APS when he worked defending a navy base near Vladivostok as a vadalaz (frogman) . He only fired it 2-3 times nut never in anger and he said it had shit poor accuracy above water but underwater, (if you can see your enemy in the >1 meter visibility) it was very accurate and penetrated through wetsuits. He teaches technical diving now but always wanted to actually shoot it one more time
