Hey /k/, what do you do when you're going to the movies and you see this sign on the front door?
>>
>>34718592
nothing because it doesn't have force of law in my state
>>
Forgot I saw the sign and go in. If you leave when they find out and aren't an ass generally you're fine.
>>
>>34718592
Carry with one in the chamber and the mag in my pocket.

Be on my guard. I might as well have a big, red fucking target on my forehead in areas where I see that kinda shit.

Laugh
>>
>>34718592
I wish that sign was in all schools back in the day, then all those school shootings would never have happened.
>>
>>34718592
I walk right past it because it's not a 30.06. If they have proper signage I still walk past it while concealing.
>>
>>34718592
Ignore it.
>>
Wonder why I'm going to a fucking movie, then go home and retreat to my cave to watch netflix.
>>
>>34718592
I carry a revolver, so I'm ok.
>>
>>34718592
I go in anyway because I live in Indiana where those signs don't mean anything

Is there a place to see in which states do these signs not mean anything?
>>

Don't mean shit here as well.

What's the law in Virginia?
>>
>>34720307

It does have force of law, but only if it's clearly posted at every entrance. Also, if you're carrying on private property and the owner or their representative (e.g. employee of commercial property) asks you to not, you're legally required to leave.
>>
Idiotic carry who dont follow proprieter's rules. Its called courtesy fucks
>>
>>34720502
Well fuck my dick. I hate it here.
>>
>>34718592
Do these signs actually carry any legal penalty in WA?
>>
>>34720524

It's never really been an issue for me. I've only ever seen these signs at movie theaters and Target. Autistic nofrenz so the former doesn't matter, and I just shop elsewhere.
>>
>>34718592
Go to a different movie theater. Fuck them
This is why (besides shit food and expensive beer) I don't go to buffalo wild wings

I've come to find that sitting in theaters is horrendously bad, due to the well respected and highly intelligent basketball Americans who dwell within. They create such a ruckus at any jump scare or mere witty quip.
>>
>>34718635
Only way to see new movies senpai, Hollywood has to artificially keep movie theaters in business by giving them a temporary monopoly on films and made it a federal crime to circumvent it.
>>

What would be the charge? Trespassing?

I'd always interpreted it as it's only a crime if you get caught, asked to leave and don't. Misdemeanor the first time, felony the second time.

Even if I cc and it's plain as day I have a gun, can they do anything?

They can eject me under " right to refuse service to anyone" but they can't actually prove I have a gun
>>

>right to refuse service
didn't you burgers vote that away for some cake or something?
>>
>>34722267
Yeah, but we didn't vote away our right to carry a gun.
>>
>>34722267
Semi different situation

They made it known they weren't doing it cause they were gay. If they said they weren't doing it cause of lack of materials/time/fucks to give, they'd be fine.

They could've said "fuck you I hate your Goddamn face" and it'd have been a blurb on page 30 under the obituaries
>>
>>34722285
I don't think us europeons ever had that one to begin with
>>
>>34722333
you shouldn't have voted in that king then.
>>
>>34721539
That's why you pirate them.

Seriously, fuck the theathers. Literally everything about them is cancer. Don't even get me started on the inflated food/drink prices.
>>
>>34722365
>Literally everything about them is cancer.
Except for the massive screen and booming speakers?
>Don't even get me started on the inflated food/drink prices.
Inflated food/drink prices exist because people tend to visit theaters in groups. "popcorn" and "don't care about popcorn" people typically exist in groups. Popcorn people are usually unwilling to pay the high price but not-popcorn people can be persuaded to buy it as a group purchase therefor lowering the individual cost.

Otherwise theaters would recoup the lost money from lower consumable prices with higher ticket prices.

Also, nobody forces you to buy popcorn or drinks.
>>
>>34722341
>voting in a king
that's not how it works
>>
>>34718592
Well Im in PA so that sign means nothing, so I walk right in

Most theatres also don't allow outside food. They claim it's to avoid any liabilities involving people who get sick and may blame the theatre's food, but I know what they're really up to. I should be allowed to hire a goddamn catering company for my seat if I wanted to.
>>
>>34718592
I laugh and cry because I can't carry anyway in my country
>>
>>34722381
Literally have all of that at home down to the extra flavicol.

They're a private business. Take it up with your local government.

Alamo Drafthouse's food and drink is pretty good. Plus you can choose your seat in advance, and they'll kick out screaming pavement apes.
>>
>>34718592
Leave the pistol in the car and just carry a revolver.
>>
>>34722442
Screen size only matters based on distance.
As for audio, headphones still give the best experience.
>>
>>34722445
Ah yes, the theater famous for women-only screenings of wonder woman.

Must be your kind of place, ma'am.
>>
>>34718592
Be glad I have a cpl and promptly ignore it.
>>
>>34722445
We just got one of those dine in movie theaters here. Not an Alamo, I forget the name. It was a little pricey and the food was, decent, not great. Still an ok time, though I was seeing 50 shades darker, so for an experience I fully expected to not enjoy, it was an ok time. Alcohol and the groups of horny women helped quite a bit.
>>
>>34718592
Where DO these signs carry any legal weight? I live in goddamn California and the most they can do even if they somehow noticed you printing or something is tell you to leave, which is their right to refuse service for whatever reason, but not related to this in particular.
>>
>>34722463
I'm just happy they banned Madonna for life because she was texting during the film
>>
>>34721555
It depends on your state, and usually is a slap on the wrist the first time.

Learn your state's concealed carry legislation if you're going to carry, though, instead of getting random tidbits on a Mongolese basket weaving forum
>>
Keep going because it's not the proper sign and I don't care. B dubs has retarded signs too. I carry anyway.
>>
I'll do the same thing I do when I see 30.06 signs. Unless you're fucking with your piece or doing shit to get noticed, no one will notice. I've become pretty comfortable carrying in non-permissive environments.
>>
Just looked it up, it is only illegal in the state of Illinois to conceal a firearm in an establishment that serves alcohol if the establishment'gross sales receipts of alcohol are greater than 50%. Looks like I'm gonna be concealing a gun at work because we have more gamblers than drinkers. I work at a bar with slot machines if you couldn't guess.
>>
>>34722381
I've actually been incredibly underwhelmed with the sound every time I've been to a movie recently, and it really is one of the only reasons I went to the theatre in the first place.

Texas 30.06
An offense under this section is a Class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $200, except that the offense is a Class A misdemeanor if it is shown on the trial of the offense that, after entering the property, the license holder was personally given the notice by oral communication described by Subsection (b) and subsequently failed to depart.

Concealed carry anyway, because in my state they don't have the force of law and I'm not going to be helpless in the event of a gunman. Might die anyway, but at least it won't be because I was drug out and shot execution style.
>>
>>34722838
I'm familiar.
>>

>>
>>34722455
Nah. Screen proportions are give you more to look at and headphones never have the power of big speakers. It's a subpar experience and it's why piratefags are never as pleased with the experience as theaterfags.

Nothing because Illinois is terrified of arresting for violations of prohibited places laws because then the courts get to review them.

Check subsection 16. Gaming facilities are prohibited. Also, gaming revenues don't count.

Not that it matters.

Ignore it. The worse they could do is ask you to leave. And most of the time, they don't care enough to do that, unless you look super shady.

>mfw I encounter a cop in the movies and I could tell he could tell I'm carrying because I'm imprinting like noone's business.
