I wouldn't say the echo trigger is a meme. It's a lot easier to use than a bump stock, and it's effectively a two round burst mode which has already been implimented on some military weapons.

Plus you can switch the selector to any other mode and it won't fire on release if for some reason you don't want it to do that.
