Taste is subjective, but if you're going to use an AK-74 style compensator, get a real one from Arsenal and a thread adapter. The tapco one is little more than a paper weight.

As far as the tapco shit goes, its functional. it does the job. There is better shit out there of course but SHEKELS

Hey anons just also would like to give you some background info. I think I paid for that rifle in 2009, right before king nigger started fucking things up hardcore. Paid $400 for it. Came with a dragunov style thumbhole stock, which was designed in russia for (chinamen???!!!) to use because its so fucking short. Took that off etc etc.is a proven and worthy weapon. have (((cheap))) red dot sight that actually works and does a nice job. tru glow. not top end, but certainly does the job.

Will look into kvar. Haven't had any problems with cheap furniture, but I know it cheap stuff. As far as the wood, functions the same, but wood rear stock it came with is utter shit.

You are correct that was a thumbhole and it was shit. I've seen some traditional wood stocks that run fairly short as well. Not all of them mind you. Looked at the k-var stuff you mentioned and doesn't appear to be short. May have to upgrade.

If you're wanting to stick with the MW2 AK look, then I'd suggest getting a Tapco Slot brake and a CAA RS47 handguard, as those are the closest to the ones that were in the game, but if you are wanting a more traditional look to your rifle then I'd definitely suggest getting a nice set of surplus wood furniture and maybe a Bakelite grip, or for a more modern but still traditional aesthetic, look at KVAR as other anons have said. If you found the thumbhole stock to be a bit short then have a look at NATO length stocks, as they give a slightly longer length of pull which helps noticeably if you're over 5'10 or have long arms.

I realise this is unpopular opinion, but i actually like OPs build. At least it's a WASR and not a Century or IO etc. I realise tapco isn't regarded for quality, but with that swapped out fr another brand it would actually be pretty sweet. I want to do one of these builds. Based on a WASR or NPAP, with the compensator and other furniture added, i'm looking at what $700 total costs in today's market?
